There are many reasons probably why your servers don't work.
1) Make sure you have a good internet connection.
2) Make sure the Multiplayer Game option and the Broadcast to LAN option is on.
3) Make sure the port and address are right.
4) Check if the circle on the right side of a server name is green. If not, that means the server is offline or one of the three reasons above this reason is false.
Even if the above reasons are true but your server doesn't work then move on.
I have read posts of many people whose servers didn't work from the starting or people whose servers stopped working from a specific version. My servers stopped working from v14.1. The only explanation that I have is that as more and more devices are created MCPE couldn't keep making changes for different phones. So it must have stopped the older devices' compatibility with multiplayer to make things easier .Maybe it stopped focusing on multiplayer on older devices. That's why turn by turn people's MCPE aren't supporting multiplayer anymore.
