I am hoping the community can assist. I have been researching Minecraft PE servers for local play with my family. I have tried PocketMine, but it won't spawn any animals or mobs. This makes for an uneventful survival experience. I also tried a Spigot server and Dragonet Proxy, however, I have had little success with connecting. This could be configuration problems, but a can find little documentation or assistance with the configure.
So, the question for the community is there a downloadable server that has animal/mob support? Or alternatively a decent tutorial for a PE proxy to a local server? I am open to other suggestions as well, but I'd like to avoid public or cloud servers. I am also a great fan of freeware solutions.
