My kid was playing Minecraft Multiplayer on his iPad with iOS 8.4 but the Minecraft PE update 0.12.1 pushed on Sep 8, 2015 broke Multiplayer for Minecraft PE app. He cannot connect to any servers anymore. Tried deleting and reinstalling the Multiplayer app, rebooting the iPad, closing and relaunching Minecraft and Multiplayer apps and nothing worked.
Does anyone have the same issues? Is there a fix for it?
Im not too familiar with iOS but afaik pe servers are pretty much broken right now bc the server software (pocketmine) hasnt been properly updated to add compatibility to 12.1
Edit: I just checked the description for the multiplayer app on the itunes webpage and it seems that it isnt compatible with 12.1 yet. Maybe you will just have to wait until the multiplayer app updates too.

we do not use an outside app, we just use the multiserver option in pe...what the heck is the deal here? I have a couple of devastated kids here. WHo does one contact about this?
The app itself (mcpe) works fine, at least for me. Its a server side problem. Maybe you should try to contact the ppl who ru the server you cant to connect to and double check the ip and port.
If you think the problem is from mcpe try backing up your worlds, uninstall the app, delete all the app data reinstall it and restore your worlds. That always works for me when im having problems with it.
And you can ask for help at reddit /r/mcpe. Sometimes the devs answer there.

There are different reasons why it might not be working so different reasons how to fix, I had a similar problem too, how exactly is it not working? Does it show up as offline or online? And when you try to go on does it say invalid name? If it's invalid name then make sure the name isn't coloured and doesn't have spaces and exclamation/question marks in it. If it shows up as offline then check that you typed the right port and ip and if you did then check your internet, if you are connected to the Internet then try closing MCPE and going back in (on iOS as in using the close down app thing from double click of the home button) if it's still not working then it just means the server actually IS offline and it's not your problem, just that the server doesn't work for anyone anymore. That's all I know about it.
