The problem with server hosting is that they use pocketmine as server software and pocketmine doesnt supoort mobs yet (among other things)
The only way to play real smp on mcpe is using local multiplayer over wifi. You just have to set your router (portforward) as if you were running a server on your device where you play minecraft and use your public ip as an external server ip.
First post, not sure if this is the right place.
Anyway, my friend lives in another state and so we were looking for games to play together, she only has a tablet so we settled on MCPE.
But after finding out that PocketMine is incomplete we're just looking for a way we could do survival over wifi.
Any advice or are we out of luck? (Also I have port forwarding set up)

I know. Thats why he needs to portforward and use his public ip.
Port is already forwarded so can I just
-Make a world on device A
-Get the ip of Device A
-Connect from device B with the IP from device A
???
Thats right. Just make sure local multiplayer is on and that you are using the public/external ip from device A.
Guess what? I found a site that's giving Minecraft gift codes away for free! http://freeminecraftgiftcode.net
Well thanks for the help then, my ISP makes this a pain but I'll keep trying.
