Shifting the server over to a REALMS based platform shortly, just list your names, i've already looked at putting it for a years worth of in-advanced hosting, just drop your names, as it will be going up shortly* I cant import from prior world builds so it will be shifted over to the newer platform, sorry about the time lag/delays all, working the last few weeks on back to back to back 16hr shifts. Well you know lots of work no real time to play
Same here, it has perfect integration with win10, minecraft PE, and xbox one, and xbox 360 minecraft edition, so i can login on my xbox one to play and still mingle with the other platform minecraft players on those seperate versions on the same server. The down side... they seriously segregated the abilities and capabilities of the PE edition, and or server hosting tricks i had rigged, and now i cant really do it legally so faaaaawwkkk
Alrighty folks was throwing around ideas with KiwiGal, and the idea came to mind, despite my ever so strong dislike for donations, and knowing how people are dishonest with their donations/where they go, i figured this.
I'd like to grab some input on what your thoughts are regarding yay or nay on using donations (or enabling donations) for the sole purpose of minecraft realms (server hosting), seperate hosting (IE where i build out servers to host not using realms), And multi-platform hosting (IE ps4, ps3, xbox one, xbox 360, wii u) builds. Obviously ill build out a tracker to see donations coming in from the minecraft donation link, but at the same time, this will allow users to see the funding accumulated. Top it off, when it gets to large donations so to say, ill obviously open a poll that will determine where the funding will go In order of priority (#1 Realms, #2 dedicated network line, #3 server/pc components for pc platform,#4 console platform), of course it will be voted when it comes to console platforms, assuming pc/server components neccessary ill throw up again a vote on where it goes.
Anyway all this explaining just helps make it more transparent on where donations would go, and how it would be used.
Attached are the photos regarding discussion. Note i've been hosting/make shift hosting servers since minecraft PC edition, and ps3 edition. You'll find my posts floating around all over, on various parts of the minecraftforum.net if you do a search for "Supernet2 24/7" sorta ordeal, as servers go down, or hardware has died you'll see how i bring it down and keep the community notified to the best of my abilities. Anyway, know everything up until this point has been free, with 0 donations, and i was just figuring i'd start asking and going from their.
Best of luck and the yay/nay thing will then start off the side project of fee assessments to make more transparent on this project, remember though this is a community based effort, i assume everything will be kept alive by the community.
Glad to see you back. Add me to realms 'Ferranzo' anyways i cant read ideas about server in picture but as far as donations go, i wouldnt mind if you DONT give certain iteams, or any perks.

Regarding your question ferranzo, their would be no perks, just knowing the server is up 24/7 and increasing available platforms to play on, the only perks would be a pretty much lightly enforced anti griefing, really no world griefing or hacking is tolerated.
As for Microsoft REALMS, or Minecraft REALMS, the systems run on a private virtualized instance per realm instance, this obviously leads to crashes, instability, things i personally cannot remedy like when i had a dedicated system running the server, because microsoft is doing it for cost effectiveness. Shared CPU, shared Bandwidth, on virtualized instances per realm makes it hard to work, given they do the hard work of maintaining automated backups (which i still haven't figured out how to use), that would probably be the only real concerns, stability, world backups, and availability to world backups.
As for how it works, realms is a always accessable server, it boots up when someone attempts to connect, IE if nobodies in the world after a few minutes the server instance goes down but, when someone attempts to connection it resumes the world, IE "Takes it off pause".
Hope my mini explanation helped make sense of it all, as for... joining @Winston638, You agreed to rules?
The server is nolonger IP based, it is hosted on Realms, meaning you need to synchronize your microsoft account with your iphone/android/win10 client to play. IE go to microsoft.com register a account, then login to that account on said account, post your gamer tag name here, or friend me on xbox live (my names supernet2) and then from their obviously say you acknowledge rules for minecraft realms, and ill clear you for the realms server*
So, did you get on the server and the world didn't load and chat was down?
So, when you got on the server did the world not load and chat was down?
