There is no 0.9.0 servers cause there is a bug/glitch that sometimes your stuck in building terrain or when joins he/she is spawned in void or sky then dies..this is because EVERYONE is making mojang do the update faster so yeah you will have to downdate to 8.1 to join servers or wait a few weeks using 9.0 for waiting 9.1 to come out
