1st off, do not hold applications for OPs, that is a terrible idea (you will get trolls, children, etc.)
-When starting off a server, you should be the only OP (or anyone you can really trust, like in real life).
-Start off with a lower ranking administration with less power, because OPs can do anything, even ban you and shutdown the server.
-Gain OPs through trust and play time, maybe monitor moderators and promote them.
This advice is truly correct. That as what I do with my server. And I see that your forum topic says "Need Ops For My Server 20 Slots". If you are going to make 20 players op, think again of what you are planning to do.
Ya like I should of I can't get on my server because people were op and other people changed there ING to there's and banned my up so I can't get on at homeI did that but my server still got hacked try using the simpleauth plugin for security
