THIS IS A GUIDE ON HOW TO JOIN SERVERS ON IOS AND ANDROID.
IOS To join servers on ios you must be jailbroken if you are not then sorry you have to wait til 0.7.0.
1) Go to cydia and add the source cydia.myrepospace.com/modboss-12 and get MCServer off of the source. 2) After you have MCServer in the options menu on minecraft you will see an ip option, put the ip you find in the box. 3)Now that you typed in the ip hit join game and the server will show up if its online.
ANDROID 1) Download PocketTool or MCPELauncher pro 2)If you have PocketTool Go to patch IP and type in the IP and hit patch, then hit apply changes and it will uninstall and reinstall your minecraft.then go into minecraft and hit join game, if the server is up it will show up. 3)If you get MCPELauncher pro(you need pro version, or get pockettool which is free.) open the app and click on settings and scroll down till you see ip above it check the box that says redirect multiplayer,then type the ip in where it says ip, when your done click on join game and if the server is up it will show up click it to join.

It doesnt work by ip's it uses game center to let you join people
Im pretty sure that kindles cant join servers...... sorry.... im not 100% sure though
