I was watching Do Not Laugh on SkyDoesMinecraft, and they pulled out a mod weapon that I thought was just hilarious. A Torch Gun. It's basically a gun that shoots out standard "stick and coal" torches. And it makes a weird sound when firing. They were using a mod pack, so I have no idea what mod it's in. But just seeing it made me want it on Pocket Edition. Anyone want to try making it? It'd be a lot of fun to play around with.
I hope you like it, tell me if I should change anything.
You craft a torch gun out of 5 logs and 4 coal blocks.
If you select the torch gun in your hotbar it will start to drop torches after 5 seconds. It drops 10 torches every second and after it dropped 1000 torches it gets destroyed.
---
The torch gun you mean is a little bit other, because it hurts mobs etc. but I can´t make it exactly like it.
Should i make it should much slower and shooting arrows looking like torches?
You might want to work on a bit more coding. So far, I've only tested it in Creative. Put it in my hand straight from TMI, and it immediately started shooting. My guess is it sent out an entire stack. And they were dropped torches, not placed.
My mom's forcing a tech free week, so whatever you do to it, I won't get to see it until next Sunday.
You craft a torch gun out of 2 glass panes, 3 iron ingots and 2 wooden planks. You can craft a loaded torch gun out of a torch gun and 3 torches.
You shoot every ~2 seconds a torch if you select the torch gun in your hotbar. (They look like arrows, I don't know how to change this without changing the textures for normal arrows ) You can shoot 25 torches, then you have to reload the torch gun. Each torch that don't hits another entity turns after some seconds in a torch or a dropped torch.
The download-link is the same.
Please restart BlockLauncher after importing the texture pack and the Mod.
Don't test it in creative - it don't works correctly in creative.
I'm back online, and I've tested it. Only found one issue. It auto-shoots. You did manage to allow actual placed torches, and I thank you for that. But it shooting for me takes a bit of the fun out of it. I apologize for making a second complaint, but you at least did make a few changes that worked.
Uh, yeah, that would be much better. If you're using this in a modded survival, and you're trying to light the cave ahead of you before you get there, it wouldn't make sense to have them all in one spot. And if auto shoot stays, reloading wouldn't be easy. But everything you've done to this so far is just amazing.
I do want to apologize for not responding sooner, though. I'm working on a massive puzzle map, and I'm not even halfway done.
If the position of the button is bad (this can be different from device to device) open the Mod with a text-editor and change the number (only the number!) in the first line with another number, a higher number means a higher position of the button. Save it as .js-file, import it and ready.
Preferrably on an edge. Maybe off to the right. But the chat button is at the top right, and I have another script that puts sneak and zoom buttons at the bottom right. Maybe the center of that edge?
BTW, I'm not gonna be as available. I've currently got 2 projects going. I have a PE puzzle map in the works (no spoilers). And I was part of a team for a PC mod for 1.7.10, and my teammates want to update to 1.8. If there are any improvements you can think of, don't hesitate. But be aware, I won't notice immediately, and I'll go ahead an apologize now.

Curse PremiumShould I remove auto-shooting and replace it with a button to shoot?

The button's in an awkward place, which you did say could be changed. But other than that, I think it looks good. Good job!

Curse PremiumYou can only Change how high/low on the Screen the Button is.
Where should the button be?
Preferrably on an edge. Maybe off to the right. But the chat button is at the top right, and I have another script that puts sneak and zoom buttons at the bottom right. Maybe the center of that edge?

Curse PremiumI added some variables, so you can really easy change where the button is:
Open it with a text-editor and you´ll see some lines like this:
var mode=0;
To change where the Button is just change the 0 in a number from 0 until 7, I attached an image with all button positions.
The two variables under that, positionX and positionY, move the button away from the selected position.
You can change size and text, too, but you´ll understand everything if you open it.
The download link is still the same:
