Well, I'm very aware that it isn't... You would be able to do it via add-on, but not with modpe, the only way you WOULD be able to is by replacing chain (as everyone else does)

EDIT: And the funny part is, it's not even legit armor XD it doesn't work like default armor I mean...

Yeah it doesnt work like real armor but you can always add a special effect to the when all of it is worn
