I'm going to look into that for BlockLauncher. I'm only trying screenshots for now though - if I can take screenshots, then I'll try to get recording working.
That would be a cool feature! But don't you use a nexus 7 (I know everyone else doesn't)? I was told the nexus 7 doesn't allow screen recording. Is it possible? I've tried other apps but they give me a weird screen or just don't work very well. I might be wrong, haven't tried using one in forever

Nexus 7 (2012) is the tablet I use, and it is the best tablet ever. I've tried capturing video with root before, and it seemed to work.
Unlocked bootloader, flashed ClockworkMod recovery, then installed SuperSU via the recovery partition.
This is why Nexus devices are great: rooting is easy - you just hit "root", it'll do a factory reset, and then you get root.

Curse Premium4.0.4 is easy to root: there are many one-click tool that can root Android 4.0.

Curse PremiumFramaroot seems to be the last working APK rooting method. If you haven't updated your phone for a while, try it.

i don't have a kindle....
I'm using a rooted nexus 7 also and screen recording never worked for me. What app are you using?
