I apologize in advance to bother you guys with questions that have probably been asked a hundred times over already. I also apologize for the length of this post. But I have a 10 year old son who absolutely loves this game and I’ve been trying to figure out for the life of me how to get these MODS working. I first tried to get them going on his computer and just gave up. Then I noticed that he tends to play MINECRAFT on his IPHONE more than any of the several versions he has of this game it seems. 1.)He got it on the XBOX 2.) The Computer 3.) The iPad and iPhone. Anyways, he watches these videos on youtube of all these crazy things that people can do with this game and he want to do them too of course. So I being Daddy and wanting to be the hero have been trying to set it up for him and just keep falling flat on my face with it. Let me show you what I am working with.
He’s got
1.) IPHONE 4 IOS 7 JAILBROKEN (Right now he has the latest version of MINECRAFT PE (0.8 something) that we purchased in store.) I realize that version won’t work as is with MODS that you need to patch it and do some things. So I have not touched his game yet. I’ve been trying with…
2.) IPAD 2 IOS 7 JAILBROKEN - (Currently I have MINECRAFT 0.7.2 installed. I erased our paid copy and installed that because I was led to believe on forums that was the best version for MODS. I successfully installed the SCRIPT ID thing. That was the first thing I did (Originally with 0.8 and then I found out that does not work with the latest and I had to downgrade.) So I found 0.7.2 and installed it and installed APP SYNC 7+, LDONE, MODPE and MCPEPatch so I got the SCRIPT ID thing on there again. And it seems to work sort of. It also seems to not work too. The reason why I originally started with that was because I was trying to get ULTIMACRAFT working. Thinking there would be some file to download and put in some folder somewhere. But it says
“For iOS-Users,we have splitted versions of this mod.Currently splitted mods:-enchantment:8958
-bombs:10238”
So thats how I found out about the SCRIPT ID and I finally got that installed on what I THINK anyway is the correct version for it to work on 0.7.2? But I have put those in and I don’t seem to see all the cool things it claims to offer. Guns, Spaceships, Bombs. Maybe I’m missing a step or something. I did see there is a command line thing in this game. I tried what this kid was doing on a youtube video it was something like /getallguns and I was not sure if I needed to add the /backslash symbol or not, tried both. Looked in the inventory. No guns I could see. But I do know this SCRIPT ID thing is kind of working? Because I found another YOUTUBE VIDEO where a kid put in these ID CODEs

I tried the house one and a really weird version of a house did instantly build. It looked nothing like the one on the video. It had a bunch of missing blocks and stuff. But at least it told me I was on the right track. Oh and I also installed That MCPEPatch thing and found some links to download, GIANT SPIDERS, HIGHER JUMP, BREAKABLE BEDROCK. I then applied the patches, but they did not seem to work.
I also tried to get mods working through CYDIA by adding some sources that I found on youtube. That SIRIS guy seemed to a be popular source for MODS. But on all the videos I’ve watched, it looks like there is a ton of Mods to install that way and now at least, I only see 4 MODS on his REPO. CLUTCHPATCHED, IMMDIATECOMMAND, LDONE, and MCPE PATCH. I installed MCPE PATCH from his REPO and there is now a MODS option on the GAME. But only two MODS. Night Vision and GROW REACTOR. (Not sure what GROW REACTOR even does.)
So that’s where I am at. What I got to show for it. Is Night Vision, Grow Reactor and a HOUSE with HOLES built instantly MOD to work. Not very impressive to my son. And that took me all day to get that success. What I’d like to know is what is the BEST VERSION of MINECRAFT POCKET to have installed. And What is the Best Method (Or the one with the most options) to install MODS with. That ULTIMACRAFT MOD seems like it would be a great starts. Seems like it has a lot of whistles and bells and options. I’d love to be able to install a HEROBRINE mod. My son talks about HEROBRINE all the time. The other MOD he talks about all the time that he has seen on YOUTUBE is a MOD called TOO MUCH TNT. I realize thats a mod for PC and that is a whole story of failure in trying to get that to work. This ULTIMACRAFT MOD seems to have some cool blowing things up options to it. So this might be a good one to score some point for dad if I can get it working. I did find a few TNT MODs on the FORUMS but when I went to download them, it just took me to a page of code. Which leads to believe there is yet ANOTHER way to add mods. (Possibly this is an ANDROID thing.) It seems that ANDROID is the way to go as far as MINECRAFT POCKET MODS. And it also seems that IOS 7 has put a thorn in MINECRAFT POCKET MODS. Again I apologize for all that info. But I was hoping someone could tell me what is my best option with what I have. What version of MINECRAFT POCKET Is the best version to have installed that will allow me to install the most MODS. (Or at the very least get that ULTIMACRAFT MOD WORKING,)There are other mods too that look cool like TOO MANY ITEMS which seems to be a standard MOD that most people have. Again I don’t know what version and how to install it. But that would be cool. He also of course has seen all these videos for I guess what are Custom Textures or something that change the MINECRAFT game into a SIMPSONS, STAR WARS and all that. That would be cool to be able to do that for him as well. But its seems with stuff like that, one will only work with this version of Minecraft and another with an earlier version than that. I would just like to know what is the BEST version to have installed and what tool or method I should use to install MODS.
I thank you again for anyone who read all this and really appreciate anyone that could help me out in figuring out what it is I need to do to get this working. Also if there is some IOS 7 Repo that has a lot of MODS to install that way. Man that is what seems to be the easiest method. But again, the ones I’ve found so far. Have only had about 4 or 5 things and they aren’t anything like GUNS and stuff like ULTIMACRAFT MOD. Maybe I got it installed correctly and I am just doing something wrong to access the items. It could be as simple as that. I hope so. If there is any other info I can offer or questions I can answer, I'll check in on this periodically and hope at least one person responds to this long winded mess!

... You cant make ModPE mods on IOS You either have to downgrade your minecraft version to 0.7.2 and install modPE or you can get a android device

Well as I said I did that, I downgraded to 0.7.2. But was still having problems getting anything to work. For instance that Ultimacraft is it supposed to work by just me putting in those two ID's? enchantment:8958-bombs:10238” Is there a HEROBRINE MOD for 0.7.2? Ill s it just one of those ID CODES again? Can I do all those things my sons watches on YOUTUBE with ) 0.7.2 (I guess they are texture packs) Waere ere they have SIMPSONS, STAR WARS MINECRAFT etc. And if so, then what is the proper software to use to install them. I have that ID CODE thing installed right now on 0.7.2 and as I said, its KIND OF working..I got a HOUSE with holes to spawn with the Better House Script 5809, but I have not been able to get anything else to work so far that I can tell. Is there a definitive list of SCRIPT CODES somewhere then for 0.7.2? Like I said, I'll downgrade it to any version. I just wanted to know what the BEST version is to accomplish this stuff. Or am I screwed because I am on IOS 7 Jailbreak maybe? So same questions as before...Okay 0.7.2 and? Please continue. I'd appreciate it deeply.
Did you read his thing? He said he had 0.7.2 most mods don't work on ios though. Like the ultimacraft or the mods we have now. Your best bet is to get an android.
You can still find mods for 0.7.2 on the forums. But it would be hard :/ I can make mods but the only thing stopping me for making IOS mods is that I dont know what function are available and not available.

Man that sucks, he just got an IPHONE for Christmas. Simply getting an Android is not that simple. That would go over real well with mom let me tell ya. "Honey? Yeah um that expensive phone we got our son so he can FaceTime with Grandma? It sh*t now. Why? Well apparently is impossible to do Minecraft mods on it." I'd probably walk away from that conversation with a limp. That so frustrating. But hey I thank you guys for at least letting me know I was not crazy. A little update on this. I erased the apparently worthless 0.7.2 and reinstalled our up to day copy and I was able to successfully install this 0.8.1 mod from IOSCHEATERS.
At least thats something. He can fly in Survival Mode now and a few other fun things. Hopefully as time progresses and people get more familiar with IOS 7. More options will come out. I've just spent so much flipping time on this. It started out with me trying to get MODS installed on the PC version and I just kind of flipped the monopoly board up in the air and quit on that one. It was so confusing and I got sick of failing. Then I saw that IOS modding was possible and it seemed like it was much easier, but again I would up wasting a good 2 days trying to get it to work, being rewarded with a disappointed face from my boy. BUT! The new thing I'm working on now is MODDING his XBOX 360 version of the game. With this I have actually been able to see some cool results. Nothing as cool as GUNS and DIFFERENT ITEMS and What he really really really wants for some reason "Various version of TNT MODS" (TOO MUCH TNT etc) But with HORIZON I've been able to download some SAVE GAMES that are almost MOD LIKE they have so much time put into them. I'm hoping that they will figure out a way to actually add MODS like ULTIMACRAFT to that someday as well. He's 10 you know? So he wants to do what he see the other kids doing. And he is absolutely obsessed with HEROBRINE. Another MOD that I would love to be able to install for him. But again I've just been unsuccessful.
Actually his mom does have an android phone come to think of it. Is is really super easy to install mods with ANDROID? Is there a HEROBRINE MOD for Android? Also this might be a dumb idea, but what about something like bluestacks? Would that be an option?

wow your an awsome dad let me say that first my dad supports me coding but he prob wouldn't go this far a Yes on android there is an app called blocklauncher it is the absolute best way it would take like five minuts at the slowest to get a mod aka script runnning hey if you need a mob aka script for your son just pm me ill make you anything and I'm working on a mod like galacti craft if you know what that is so yea your awsome don't be shy to ask I'm ready to make a mod for someone awsome!XD

On Android it is really simple installing mods.
You just have to install a app, download the mod and patch it and its done! And there are many more advanced mods on Android, as iOS still hasn't updated.
And a Herobrine mod would be possible, yes. I have also made some cool mods like a car mod, etc...
And it's a real shame that he just got his iPhone.. but as you said, his mom has a Android phone, so you should be just fine. (but there are some really low spec android phones that run really slow..)

ATM, this would not be possible for iOS, as you cannot create custom items, etc...
But, it seems like you have done everything right. The house mod will probably just be parts of code missing in the mod (not your fault)
