Ok guys, I have been trying to figure out how to get a working texture pack on my Kindle Fire HD for a few days. I have finally gotten them to work! My kindle has not been rooted in anyway and the MCPE app is bought from the Amazon app store. Here is what I did: 1. Install MCPE and PocketTool (here is a DL link for PocketTool https://www.dropbox....tTool-1.5.9.apk) 2. open up PocketTool, go to "install downloaded content" 2. click "textures" and long hold and press "install" on the texture pack you want
3. press back button and press "Tool Kit" and "change texture/skin"
4. long hold the texture pack and select "use texture" 5. press the back button once and in the upper right hand corner is 3 small square dots. Press them and select "Apply changes"
It's at this point, I would attempt to open MCPE and it would give me the unauthorized error message. Here's what I did to get around it.
6. Download BlockLauncher (MCPE Launcher) here: https://www.dropbox....blantik.com.apk
7. Install and use to open MCPE (texture pack showed up and no authorization problems!!!!)
If anyone need more help, feel free to ask!
BTW... I downloaded PocketTool and BlockLauncer on my PC and then transferred them to my kindle fire hd using ES3 File Manager and a LAN connection with my comp.
Hope it helps!!! I have beautiful texture packs now
******So to change a texture pack, you have to uninstall the launcher, go through the steps above with ToolKit using the new desired texture pack, and reinstall the launcher*********
I'm a noob trying to help my son download some mods for a Kindle Fire HDX. My first question is... Can you Mod on the newest model?
The second is more involved, I've loaded BlockLauncher Pro which looks like it should work, do I also need PocketTool as well? If I need both, that's fine but I still don't know where to find the actual mods. The instructions tell you how to do it but not where to find them.
