I am going to add fire armor, I can make it add fire resistance, but I dont know how to catch entities on fire. If anyone could help me with this, I will add more fire abilities. Thanks!
If anything, check for mobs in a certain radius around a player and then call the method to set them on fire.
I'd check in with the creator of Twilight Forest to get some assistance with this code.

Or you can also use attackHook with Entity.setFireTicks and make sure the player is wearing the fire armor with Player.getArmorSlot.
