This is without a doubt the greatest mod I have used. It adds much-needed functionality to the game without being brokenly powerful, and does a pretty dang good job of mimicking Redstone as seen in PC edition. I can't wait until it gets updated for 0.12!
I'm just hoping he put detector blocks back in. I miss them so much. those would make the wait better, but still you can't beat what he is bringing to the table, and genius takes time.
guys he just has to fix the mod so it will work on 32 bit ios devices and he wil be all set for the release. this might take time to find the problem though
No, his is still the best even if you have to wait. Their is already a Redstone mod out that works on 12.1 but I found to be hard to use and pretty ugly at that buttons float and have no animation same as the leavers which is just a box that produces light. Instead of Redstone dust you end up with a entire block that lights up, but can go straight up. It's a mess though but they took it over recently. It's like Hxredstone but waiting for bytes update is the better of the current options.
From his Twitter feed it seems as if he has brought out some more goodies for is this time, like weighted plates. He seems pretty close though.
Thanks for the plug! Yes, there are issues as you pointed out, but remember the hxRedstone is only a ModPE mod. It is not native code. It is also not multithreaded which limits it's ability to perform really complex circuits. That's why there is little I can do to help those issues without a LOT of effort for the issues that CAN be worked on - others you just cannot do anything about due to being a MODPE mod.
Also, with the tease from @_tomcc that 0.13 will have official Redstone, there is not as much motivation to "fix" or correct those issues, especially IF this time around Byte's mod works. Although from what he told me, he wouldn't expect it to have that much less compatibility issues - which I'd understand if he based 0.12 on the 0.11 code.
If there are game-stopper issues, I will correct them. For the time being, it is a 80% solution for 90% of the people that cannot use Byte's mod. I was one of those people in 0.11. No matter what I did, I could not get it to work, so I decided to find a ModPE version. The Base code for hxRedstone was the best out there for this type of mod, but needed some polish. Had HaoHao's team not stopped development, I'm sure they would have easily gotten to where the mod is now. I really did not do too much to get it to this point.
If you would like, I can certainly change the shape of the redstone BLOCK, but due to texture pack limitations in 0.11, I did not bother with mapping a texture to the redstone wire block. 0.12 has a new texture pack capability, which will allow rather LARGE mods like hxRedstone and ExtendedCraft 3 to work together. It also seems to have resolved the texture pack memory mapping issue I kept running into - where textures were not always mapped onto blocks. It was a BlockLauncher issue, but @zhuowei was VERY responsive to my bug notice and worked in a new texture pack method. So far, I've got 12 mods texture packs installed without issues. Three are HUGE mods as well. I have hxRedstone, Extended Craft 3 and the More Like PC 1.9 mod that just came out.
Anyway, I left the Redstone block as HaoHao's team set it up. It did not seem worth my time to change that due to the other textures and things that I was working on to get this to where it was. It is currently a colorized block of snow / diamond depending on state. The buttons I have on my list to mess with, but are really low priority looking over the list of other things (such as farming uses with pistons...right now you do not get drops...). One of my beta testers really did a fantastic job and built some REALLY complex stuff based on this thread:
On thing he built was a code locked door. You press buttons corresponding with numbers. If you type the right code in the right order, the door will open, otherwise it stays closed. It is really fantastic. He did a GREAT job!
And proved that although slow, the mod is pretty complete from a logic stand point. I've also created some cool useful machines:

So, really it does most things, within the confines of a ModPE mod...which is rather limiting (Byte has quite a few rants about this all over the web).
At the moment, the idea is with hxRedstone, you can get 80-90% working solutions for Redstone machines for those that cannot get Byte's mods to work. Since I used the SAME block and item IDS as the official SHOULD be using, you won't have to DUMP everything later on. Just tweak your machines when it comes out officially. There are a bunch of little things that I would like to also polish up, however with work, life and the 3 other mods I am working on for my "Super Mod" series I have little time.

I certainly support the hxRedstone mod and if you have something you want changed, post in the thread, if it is something simple, I'll probably make the change and push it out as soon as I read the request. If I do not know about the issues, I do not know they are important to the users, so I focus on what I feel is most important. Under the Minecraft category, for now, it is my other mods due to the teaser tweet that Redstone will be in 0.13.
I have other plans for how hxRedstone will stay alive. I intended to make a post about this after the 0.13 thing...but it became a low priority as all the people that I think that NEEDED to hear my announcement did over PM. I should still put the post out there...so yeah, I'm glad you mentioned hxRestone. A lot of this was in the main thread, some was not, but at least now the community has at least 1 thread explaining a whole lot of information!
Thanks for trying hxRedstone, and here is to Byte's mod being compatible with more devices this time around!! I will also be the first to admit that Byte's mod is probably the best Redstone mod out there - when it works! :-) I've said that many times and stand by it. It is nothing to do with Byte's code...it's just how he HAS to make the mod and how different devices are or are not compatible with how his mod is required to work to hook into the Mojang code.

I can't wait for 0.12.0 version cuz whenever I try to do it with everything right it doesn't crash but just doesn't work and is disabled every time I go back on blocklauncher plus when I do it a little different.....this happens:
