also there are sounds in tbe apk but they are the ios version sounds and dont appear to be used (still seems to use built in sounds).
I can personally confirm TEXTURE PACKS do WORK!
If you use the assets file structure from the new apk, you are free to change textures and then use BlockLauncher to load them AS IS no updates needed! (TP makers just have to redo about 75% of their packs...)
I made a Texture Pack to test 0.8.0 Beta with BlockLauncher, and it works fine. (The old "Replace-diamond-with-emerald" TP haha.)
Also, has anyone tried replacing the single sound files in the 8.0 apk? Do we know for sure if 8.0 is getting sounds from libminecraftpe.so or from the single files?
I think I'm more excited about the next BlockLauncher update than I am for the official 0.8.0 release from Mojang! Haha... good work modding community!

I have an HTC One XL running 4.2.2 that does not have root access (work phone, against IT policy). If I purchase and install Block Launcher Pro, can I install custom texture packs?
I'm running standard Block Launcher with the demo texture pack. I'm assuming that because the app is running a custom texture already, I don't need root access if I get Pro. Is this correct?

Thanks! Purchased a few hours ago, installed BDcraft PE for Android, was working great up until about 20 minutes ago. The app now crashes a lot.
A restart fixes it. But then if I close the app and try to play it later, it will crash on loading of "saving chunks". Have to restart every time before playing to stop crashes.

If I patch a ModPE script with ANY new- block- adding function (ex: Block.defineBlock) if crashes me when I load up any world (Creative or Survival). I have made shure that it is not another script and I have tested your block-adding script and it still does crash.

I know why this happens - it's because custom blocks are still experimental, so I didn't bother adding the Amazon offsets for the items!
