No. Dont use pockettool or quickoffice. I tried it, and ES file is much easier. Just locate MCPE in your files(the actual app),hold down on it, and hit backup. Then, hold down on the backup and hit extract. Just find the file in there. Quickoffice might give you the wrong file.
From Lincsbro's dump, it appears that the version of Minecraft PE shipped on Amazon is different than the version shipped on Google Play. Mods and tools will need to be adapted, it seems.

The kindle version is not letting me go on to servers I've put into the box.
I also have issues with the texture packs. It has my items and blocks with the wrong icon but in my hand they look like they are ment too.
