0.9.0 is now officially out as of today! PocketInvEditor needs the update. Devs, you've got alot of work ahead of you. Pro version has no pro features, the new blocks and items still don't have icons, some blocks and icons were not added to the snapshot, and the world backup feature on the free version was never in pro.
(I know a majority of you already knew about these issues. I was just listing them for the devs to know.)
I have a mcpe world where I have located a number of villages, and am moving between them. I am using PocketInvEditor Pro 1.12.2 to show me the coordinates of the various locations, to help me build roads, etc. But I kept getting seriously lost. I did some testing, and here's why.
If I write down my coordinates and then head straight east for a ways into the rising sun, my x coord for east/west remains unchanged. My z coordinate, however, does change, and indicates I went NORTH! Same for heading west, my z coord changes (becomes more positive) indicating I went SOUTH.
I see two possibilities. Either the sun is rising/setting in the wrong direction on mcpe, or the more likely scenario to me, PocketInvEditor is showing the incorrect coordinates.
Or the third possibility is that I've gone nuts, I guess.
I became a new map builder as of 0.9.0, and I've been relying on this app. But somehow this app corrupts the world files and causes my uploads to not work. I don't want my new reputation ruined because this program causes problems. Could someone be willing to look at my maps and tell me what's wrong so I can fix them? If you find the errors, let me know within the proper posts.
agentCPU, I was able to download and open your treehouse map, but I don't understand what errors you mean. What is PocketInvEditor doing? For me, the coordinates its reporting are completely screwed up, but it has not been corrupting my worlds. I do backup a lot just in case.
Here's what I had happen. I finished with the building aspect of the map and used PIE to switch to survival in order to put items in the chest inside the treehouse (since I think it sucks we can't do that in creative. Mojang needs to consider that) and deleted a few ladders. Then I walked off into the distance and find a suitable place to set player spawn. This is now where the issue starts. My file manager says that there are about 5-6 files under the "db" folder. I use PIE to set my location as the spawn point. That single action adds about 3-4 more files in the folder. I then zipped and published the map, not knowing the problem. Since you did look at that map, I'm sure you saw the comment saying the file did not work. Whatever actually corrupted the file happened to my Cage Wars map as well.
I updated my Minecraft today, and am rebuilding both maps, hoping small coding issues may have been fixed. But I plan on publishing both new maps to a new post, asking for help fixing the files so they can be used again. If you, or anyone else, might be able to help me on either map, fell free to start once I get them up, I would really appreciate it.
The treehouse map has been taken down for rebuilding. I should have it back up by tommorrow. As for Cage Wars, I still need help with it, but I'm gonna create a new post for that.
Support for 0.9.5 please! I try to open tile entities and world info but due to the MCPE update it crashes the PocketInvEditor app once tapped those two options.
Anyone notice that the X axis is inverted (it points west instead of east)? Does MCPE orient the X-Axis differently, or is this a bug in PocketInvEditor?
Actually, I think the axes are even more screwed up than that. If I walk straight into the sunrise (east) my x value stays the same and the z decreases! That's supposed to be north, not east.

You by any chance know when the pro features will be updated

Thx
OK... I got it sorted out. MCPE is still using the old compass rose where the back of the L in the cobble stone points North and the foot points East.
The PC (as of 1.0.0) Changed the compass so that the back of the L points west and the foot points North (and I supposed the moved the sun too).
So in MCPE 0.9.0 when you walk towards the sunrise you are walking North, which is how the PC edition used to be a long time ago.
Thx

That's because the save format has change in 0.9.x of PE.
