Yeah i dont know how to root im on a kindle fire and it says rooting can hurt it if i dont know what im doing. I have the old version of pockettool but i want to be able to update it. Can you please put a link on ad.fly up in the front post aswell as the other links? I hope you understand i just dont want to break my kindle fire.
I tried some mods from 500 Internal Server Error, but when I try to patch it it just doesn't work anymore.
I did some research already.
- The .apk in the folder is already corrupted ( Or I can't install it now. After a restart also not. )
- I can't install the modded apk's. ( I tried this with ES File Explorer )
- It says magic okay, and creates 2 modded apk's ( along with the normal .apk )
I think it's because I am running Jellybean on my Galaxy Nexus.
I tried to remove pocket tool, removed MC:PE.
If you need any more info, please ask.
Edit: It also is not saying 'Done patching'.
Edit2: I patched it with a emulator on 4.0, but now I can't install minecraft-c.apk. That's the one I pulled from the emulator. It installed fine on the emulator.
Ive discovered a bug today when I change my skin every player who joins my map has the skin even if they have a different skin or diddent change it at all(only to me tho)this isnot a major bug and doesn't need to be fixed right away

That's not an actual bug. Skins of guests will always look like your skin. That's why I made mine a Clone Trooper.

That's part of MCPE. Since skins aren't official, they don't send to other devices. It's fun to change the skin to a zombie and hand the device to someone that doesn't know that zombies' hands go out then follow them and punch them.

Hello everyone,
PocketTool is officially being open sourced. You can find/fork the full, undocumented (I really should document my work sometimes) source using GitHub.

You, sir, are awesome.
I don't think the gen folder and the hs_err_pid3902.log needs to be checked into Git, however.
Edit: Wow, I just realized that PocketTool actually has half an inventory editor implemented! I thought before that there was only code to get the seed.
Edit 2: Even more wow! It actually built! (Android Ant buildscript targeting Gingerbread)

I agree, gen and hs_err_pid3902.log aren't really necessary, but GitHub for Windows suggested that it be included. I haven't had the need to question the GitHub client so it found its way in there.
Yep, reading/saving inventory data is pretty much complete. The only unfinished business is just an interface to make the changes, though changing SpawnX/Y/Z is already implemented.
Edit: removed hs_err_pid3902.log, Ubuntu decided to leave behind old JVM crashes when PocketTool was originally being developed and tested.

I really hope that GitHub never turns evil and put "murder people" into its Windows client.
What would happen to the users of the Pro version after its discontinuation? (I don't have Pro, but just curious).
Would the release of the source help localization? I skimmed through it and it seems all the strings are inside the .java files instead of the strings.xml. Fun.

The Pro version isn't discontinued. The source at GitHub is the actual full blown source of the Pro version. Moving forward, I'd like to do away with the "free" version. The idea is to have one version of PocketTool that everyone has access to, can modify, and can contribute to. Some features that I'm looking to implement is possibly localization (it's not a high priority right now, but it is a long overdue feature), automatic updating outside of Google Play (i.e. have the app check for an update from GitHub then ask the user if they wish to update), and of course some inventory editing. Nothing is final and nothing is being promised.
Um since you updated to 0.3.3 it wasn't installing minecraft correctly instead of minecraft it says something along the lines of "minecraft.pe.mojang" or something. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and then it just crashes, and in the files the only folders are patches and undo. I love this app...
This is a zip problem. It happens when your version of MC PE becomes corrupt. It is most common when MC PE has been downloaded from anywhere other than Google Play, but it may also happen when updating PocketTool/MC PE. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling both PocketTool and MC PE from Google Play.
Happened to me too, but I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling PocketTool.
