The app is working cool and everything but could you please make the app follow standard Android 4 (ICS) guidelines? Or at least make it use SDK version 14 or higher (v14 is 4.0). When you open Gingerbread apps in ICS it has the stock gingerbread look and I honestly think it looks horrible. I never liked that design, and compared to ICS, it looks like an app for Blackberry devices. Plus it looks sexier and more appealing =P Take for example, PocketInvEditor, it follows pretty basic ICS guidelines:bavk background fading to dark grey at the bottom, icon and title text at the top, grey buttons with blue shades, etc.
Now take a look at this app called Minecraft O in Google Play. It's the first Minecraft guide to follows these guidelines. It looks pretty awesome (except for the annoying "Start" screen). Take a look, give a try at these guidelines, if I am not wrong, they should be in SDK version 14 and higher. Thanks for the app!
I seem to be doing something wrong. I installed PocketTool Free, and downloaded the Soartex, LB Photorealism, and Decraftik texture packs -- the Soartex zipfile had to be unpacked, the root folder renamed to 'assets' from 'android'. Next, I copied them from my computer to the 'Download' folder on my Motorola Xoom. Starting PocketTool, I tap 'Install Downloaded Content', then 'Textures', and see the three files. I touch and hold 'Soartex', and get a pop-up saying 'What would you like to do?', and I tap 'Install', then see 'InstalledSoartex' (note -- no space after 'installed'). Opening the menu, I select 'Apply changes', and after the 'please wait' popup, I get the uninstall prompt, followed by the install prompt, which I accept both times. After the install completes, I select 'Open', and Minecraft PE starts with all the original textures still in place, as if the update didn't actually touch the texture files.
The 1.5 update to PocketTool Free on Google Play this morning is, it appears, a step backwards. I can select the texture pack from within 'Install Downloaded Content', but when I select 'Apply Changes', Minecraft PE uninstalls, but the new install fails. And it doesn't fail cleanly, because when I reinstall PE, it crashes on launch; I have to manually uninstall it, then reinstall it again, to get it to launch and run again. This is on a Motorola Xoom running ICS 4.04, kernel version 2.6.39.4-g42a0480, build IMM76.
Aha. I'm doing it wrong. 'Install Downloaded Content' puts the texture pack into PocketTool, then you have to go back to the top menu, select 'Toolkit', pick the texture pack to use, and then install the changes. No more error, and the new textures are showing up.
Hello. The app crashes to me. Almost everytime it worked and today I wanted to change texture, tried to go to install downloaded content and app force quit. Help?
Before I begin; please acknowledge the deep appreciation I have for the effort you have used to create 'PocketTool', it has made my Minecraft: Pocket Edition experience a lot more desirable.
Now, I have a 'fault' to report;
Yesterday evening, I installed a new Minecraft: Pocket Edition texture pack using 'PocketTool'. Everything was running smoothly, until it came to the process of un-installing then re-installing Minecraft: Pocket Edition, once re-installed, the texture pack I had chosen was in place, although my Minecraft: Pocket Edition was downgraded to version; "0.2.0 alpha" when originally my Minecraft: Pocket Edition was running version; "0.3.0 alpha".
Is this a knowing fault? How can the issue be resolved?
I'm running Android version; 2.3.5 via my Samsung Galaxy II (GT-I9100)
I'm not sure what causes this, it seems to happen on a rare occasion for some users. It can be resolved by unistalling both PocketTool and MC PE, then reinstall both, it should run as expected after.
hello i love your app but i installed minecraft pe with 4shared and i uninstall then reinstall i doesnt reinstall but when it does it force closes... please fix! thanks!
I've been trying to install the dokucraft portable pack but no joy yet.
Is there anything I need to do, other than follow the prompts given by pockettool?
Not all. .zip files work you should make shure the last letters are PE.zip

He's not gonna help you since you pirated the game, buy the game, and do it again, or just not mod it at all
I'm working on that in a week or two. I'm also doing a desktop version in the meantime.

I'm also on Minecraft PE! (Nexus 7, Xperia Play and iPod 4 owner)

Since there are several people asking, here is a temporary download for version 1.5

That was changed many versions ago. It is no longer required to have PE in the name of the .zip file.
