Now I am asking permission if I can do a mod review of my version of the script I will give you credit but I take credit for adding the buttons that change the distance of mob and also i dissabled block moving because it was buggy and the landing was unpredictable so i made the *GravityGun* only work on mobs.
This video has my edited version of the script and added a few functionality such as changing the distance of mobs do they don't kill you at the distance of 2 and it is completely flexible with most scripts that don't have GUI.

EDIT: You can refer to the bukkit plugin called "portalstick". This may help for your idea

I tried it on multiplier it only works on other player if they are not moving same goes for mobs so be careful cuz if they move you just stop seeing them they vanish. (this only happens on another friend's server)

I want to make it to portal gun mod and gravity gun mod
so it will split to two branches.
I'll allow portal to portal gun, and gravity gun will get throwing feature instead.
