Can someone please post the latest version of pocket tools to download I cant find it for my kindle. I really want to use nods.
Older versions of PocketTool would work, or, if you can root your device, just root it and install Google Play, or the alternative patching tool, autophil's QuickPatch.
whenever i download the six slot mod to my computer it comes up as a media file....how can i change this?
Google "change file associations" with your OS and version. For example, on Windows Vista, you'd do this (see "Associate a file type or protocol with a program").

Can anyone tell me why on my PT Free when I press Patch Mod on the main menu it takes me to blank black screen.
Instructions changed; now you need to copy patch.mod to the PatchTool folder. According to the semi-official instructions:
Download your favorite mod, unzip it if necessary.
Connect device to computer as a Mass Storage Device.
Move all your .mod files to /sdcard/Android/data/com.snowbound.pockettool(.free)/Patches
Open PocketTool, go to ToolKit > Patch Mod
Hold down on the name of the desired patch and click "Patch of course!"
Menu > Apply Changes
(WIN ?)
Undo a patch:
Hold on a previously used patch, click "Undo"
Menu > Apply Changes
