Mercator is an Android application that can stitch PC texture packs into MCPE 0.8.0-style texture packs, and vise versa.
This is mainly to help people port desktop terrain packs, although it may also help those who are updating existing texture packs (since they can unstitch their current pack with Mojang's unstitcher, and re-stitch with this tool)
Currently, the application is in an extremely early stage of development.
What works:
- Unstitching the terrain-atlas.tga file into a Desktop-style resource pack directory of .pngs
- Stitching named .pngs back into the TARGA file
What doesn't work:
- Choosing the files. You have to put the extracted terrain-atlas.tga and the terrain.maps files on /sdcard
- Transparency: I didn't take into account premultiplied alphas, so semitransparent textures are screwed up
- Mapping: some .pngs have wrong names compared to their desktop counterparts
This demo release is alpha quality. I've put a timer on the release so that the demo expires in four days. Expect a better demo before then.
This is really great. Before I used an app where I could copy a block texture and paste it to mcpe's terrain.png, but then it wouldn't be the exact same. All the transparent textures turned black and the colors were off. Then I just used Paint. Which was 10 times better. Now this app comes along so I won't have to even use a computer. Thanks alot 500ISE
I don't understand why you put a timer on it because it should be easy to remove
If it runs it's own activity you can simply decompile the app, remove the activity, and then recompile.
Also you could use LuckyPatcher to remove the activity and then rebuild modified APK.

lucky patcher is for disabling license verification not time limits in demos

Lucky Patcher can be used for a lot more than that It can change permissions and activities therefor you could remove a timer activity. It can also
Remove license verification
Remove ads
Apply custom patches
Remove ODEX
Add ODEX
Rebuild APKs
Backup apps
and it also allows you to hex edit your own modifications/patches.
So my original statement was indeed, correct; You can remove the timer via Lucky Patcher.

Or just recompile the app from source
Oh my god, wow... I didn't think of that, and that would probably be the easiest way
