Just help me to make modes scripts and I'll help everyone.
First of all, take some generic JavaScript tutorials - Codecademy has a few good ones.
When you know what a variable is, how to create a loop, and how to define a method, then you'll be able to read other people's scripts and see how they made things happen.
If you have any questions, feel free to post here and I'll try to clear things up for you.

One tutorial (which I didn't use myself but heard that it was good) is http://www.codecademy.com/tracks/javascript
Do up to about #10 and you should be able to understand other people's ModPE scripts.
