im still trying to learn, im doing my best to follow darkfurry's instructions, i just have trouble when it comes to the multiple xref stuff, and finding the id's im looking for lol, now dont get me wrong, im ok with a hex editor but this stuff is new to me, you guys are really good at it, wish me luck

Haha, it's okay. If you would like, you can update the caves mod by replacing either dirt or gravel (preferably gravel) to ID 00 (air)
If you have trouble finding offsets let me know.
