I personally prefer ModPE scripts because of the ability to add new behaviours and because they don't break when Minecraft updates.
I sometimes use a combination to achieve a goal. For making alternate titlescreen backgrounds, I used a patch to resize the Minecraft window to 256x256 pixels, another patch to set the FoV to 90, and finally a ModPE script to orient the player so I can take the correct screenshots.
I prefer none, but .mod and .js files have their advantages. Like .mod files can be used in multiplayer, and .js files have more possibilities for more awesome mods

I agree that there is more flexibility with ModPE scripts. However there are some .mods which I love. Some .mods compliment ModPE scritps. For example, I use 500 ISE's pick me .mod in conjunction with a basic ModPE script, which creates explosion when a block is touched with a bow. This gives me a sort of exploding arrow effect. Arrows can still be fired though by charging the bow instead of tapping. I think there is definitely room for both in MCPE. Let's not forget PocketMine-MP plugins as well.
I pick... .dylib mods using c0deh4ckers LibStubHook, because they are the most advanced and unlimited. Only downside is, no one apparently knows how to make them, and they are iOS only...

So True! (Didn't Think About .dylib) They are the least used but when someone does it's usually a good mod. (Depending on the modder) By the way are you still retired?
I prefer the .mod and .dylib. I might have chosen the JS mods, but I have no idea how to install them, and the modpe scripts package only crashes minecraft when I install the 2 treeblhax (i think) files in the dynamiclibraries folder.
