URMA automates map downloading and installation! Just install the app from The Big Boss Repo (simply search for "URMA" on Cydia). This app allows you to easily grab other's maps for MCPE and load them onto your device for you to play!
How do I get others' maps onto my Minecraft PE?
Easy! There are three ways:
Direct URMA Link: One-tap installation. These links use the "urma" URL schema and are followed by a download link. If you have URMA installed on your device, you can simply tap on the link and the app will launch, download and unpack the map in a few seconds
In-app Downloader: Another way to get maps onto MCPE is to just launch the app and paste a direct-download link, then simply press "Download"
Send to URMA Catalogue(Recommended): The recommended (and easiest way of sending maps) is to find a map moderator such as rainbowunicornsniper who will, test and update your map onto URMA! More info soon!
How do I share a map?
Simply ZIP up the map's folder found in the directory: "/User/Applications/minecraftpe/Documents/games/com.mojang/minecraftWorlds" then upload the ZIP file to a hosting site that allows direct-download links (such as Dropbox.com). When you're done, you can share your map in two ways: 1) Direct URMA Link (recommended) or, 2) In-App Downloader
For Direct URMA Links, simply insert this in the beginning of your link:
Quick note to Dropbox users: if your Dropbox link starts with "https://" make sure to remove the little 's' at the end as URMA cannot handle secure HTTP connections atm.
Visit http://tinyurl.com and then copy and paste the DIrect URMA Link (starts with urma://), generate the TinyUrl link then just share it to others through the forums, IM, IRC, email etc.
Direct URMA Links allow you to simply tap on a link which will automatically open up URMA and download and install the map with no further interaction - everything is automated for you!
Download URMA
To make the download easier, URMA can be downloaded straight from Cydia. Just search for "URMA" and Install. Nothing complicated! If you are an Android user, you can use UTK as it has built in support for the URMA protocol, so any URMA maps you find in these forums will work with both UTK and URMA respectively.
Example Map to use with URMA:
NOTE: if you have a map that is named exactly like the one you are downloading, IT WILL BE OVERWRITTEN!
Tap on this link to open up URMA or UTK (if youre an Android user) and install this map - requires URMA to be installed first:
Side note to developers: this app was MADE, PROGRAMMED & DEBUGGED ON MY iPHONE in only 2 hours! Created using HTML5 + JavaScript with my own Runtime Engine (SRH Script v0.63b)! More info can be found on my site: http://srh.leet.la/
Thanks! I have some really big plans for this for future updates, such as turning this to an all-in-one app where users can share & download maps right from the app with detailed information, pics maybe even videos but that would require a HUGE amount of community support both for the system & the server costs..
You should visit tinyurl.com and post the URMA link instead! Then just copy and paste the tinyurl link here. The Minecraft forum system doesn't allow you to post any other type of links such as URMA which is why I use TinyURL.
This is what you paste into TinyURL (the whole URMA Link) also remember to remove the little 's' from Dropbox links (http and not https): urma://http://dl.dropbox.com/u/93625875/
the%20vaults%20CTM.zip
Also remember that the link can't be a HTTP Secure connect (https) so you have to remove the little 's' so it's only http://dl.dropbox.com/....
I am looking for experienced iOS users who know how to extract and install maps to/from Minecraft. Specifically somebody who can download, test and upload maps to the database! (Note: maps will NOT be uploaded to my server, only their links)
I am looking for at least 2 (non-noob) users on this forum who are willing to do some weekly updates! Post here ONLY if you know how to install maps manually, test them (checking the files, not really playing them :P) and creating a quick database entry (takes no more than a minute).
I am working on a more user-friendly way of doing this straight from the app for EVERYBODY, but it isn't possible atm with my current service due to high bandwidth demands.
tl;dr, I need map moderators for URMA who can update and upload new maps from users here at Minecraft Forums
I think i can do all of what you said through ifile, and did you want the maps to be in dropbox?
Sweet! The thing is this though: if you upload other users' maps onto YOUR Dropbox account, your public/direct links feature will be suspended for a few months due to high bandwidth.
So anybody willing to send in their maps need to do so using their OWN Dropbox account and MUST use direct links.
I'll get back to everybody who are applying all at once!

A direct link SHOULDN'T take you to a web page, if you use that link with the app, you'll be downloading a web page instead of a zip file with the map! Remember to zip up the folder of the map and not the individual files. I'll get back to you and others this week on how to update and add maps to the database!
So if you use the link within Safari and a webpage appears with a "Download" button, it ISN'T a direct download link. That's the easiest way to figure out if it's a direct link lol

Thanks there pixeldrum!
Edit: Well, I can't find it. Either URMA isn't on cydia, or I need to have ios 6.
Tap on the changes tab and hit refresh, then search again for "urma"
App runs great to.
lol, jk, but really, LOVE YOU SO DARNED MUCH! (no homo :P)
testing it out, see if it works!
EDIT: 333 POSTS! LIKE A BAUS!

You need a DIRECT download link from dropbox. Your map link is a webpage! Copy your map into the "public" folder and generate a link from there
Which one looks better?
