Just because there's no thread doesn't neccesarily mean there's no mod.
Well yeah, I and other modders usually put all our mods into a single thread, otherwise the forums would be spammed with a bunch of mods. But the search bar doesn't just search thread titles, it searches all the posts made on the forum, so even if the thread is not about a specific mod, it'd still point you to any reference people made of that mod.
But may I just say, modders on these forums get spammed with impossible requests all the time. We are very limited to what we can do, and it is no where near as easy as modding the PC version. I personally wish it was possible to make mods like the PC, but with the amount of security Apple and Google put into their mobile operating systems, it just makes it so much harder than people seem to understand.
To answer the question, it is not possible at the moment and wont be for a very long time to add new mobs/blocks to the game. People can argue about 'assigning this to that and then just do this to make that', but that'd be the same as saying we could connect a flux capacitor to a plutonium electric generator and drive at 88 mph to make a time machine. It isn't that simple.
Also, sorry about Intyre, I don't know how he got out of his leash! I'm gonna go get the spray bottle.
All the mods we make are time consuming, a few have taken days of searching and trying to get it to work right. If it was truly possible with the tools we have now, then we'd do it. But there aren't any tools we can use for most all mod requests we get these days, so we have to make/are currently working on our own. Though, just because we are creating our own tools to help make some of the currently impossible requests possible, that doesn't mean every mod request we get will be possible in the future, such as the zebra mod. In-fact some of the tools we (the community) are working on now have never been done before/thought possible before at all on iOS or Android, not just for Minecraft-PE.
So yes, when I say it's impossible, it is either impossible at the moment, or impossible entirely.
