I have no idea. It's been reported as a bug in both cyanogenmod and SL4A, and if it's fixed by either party, something should show up in one of those tickets. I have no plans to abandon SL4A at this point.

I mean if this ever gets fixed, some action will probably be taken on one of those tickets linked above, so people will know it's fixed.
I have a gut feeling it won't get fixed, though... at least, not for a long time. I've been going back and forth on the idea of doing another version of this that doesn't rely on SL4A; it might still happen with enough spare time and boredom.

Quick patch dosent work anymore.it say lib.minecraftpe.so not readable.anyone have a fix.
Still works for me, haven't changed anything in about 2 months. Probably going to work on a more polished version in the next few weeks, maybe that will fix it. Anyone else seeing this problem?

I followed the instructions on the first page, and I installed SL4A and Rhino. I got everything in the first post right. When I open up SL4A, it opens quick patch. I see a list of patches, but I don't know how to apply them. I haven't selected the location of the minecraft files or anything. I have a Galaxy S3.
I want to install the smooth lighting mod, it says: "New! SMooth LIghting" and then a box with 2 options: "Unpatched" and "Applied." Unpatched is currently selected. When I select "Applied" and then touch "Apply", it gets superuser permissions and says "Success File was patched". I close the message by pressing the word "Sweet."
When I open Minecraft PE, nothing has changed.
Can someone please help me? I am very confused and pockettool doesn't work. That's why I'm trying this.

Have you tried following my instructions here?
You need root access and a file browser with root access such as Root Browser Lite. Then you will have access to change a folders permissions.
