A month ago I would have said with certainty that the too many items mod is impossible on Pocket Edition because modders cannot add things to the game. However, due to the recent advancement of modding that I have seen lately I am not sure that is the case anymore. I have seen modders add buttons and GUI into the game with the invent of debian mods and know that they can toggle mods in game (this was done as early as 0.4.0-I think that is the correct version-by C0deH4cker). That has me wondering if they are able to toggle code similar to what is present in iMCPEdit or the new iMCPE that would allow a button to add items to your inventory in game.
I will admit that I am not as up to date with the current limitations of modding that I used to be and this project does not sound easy, but it sounds like it just might be possible. I make no promises that it is possible and I would not expect the mod anytime soon but it is an interesting thing to think about. Do not rage at me for proposing an impossible mod, I am not requesting that this mod be created. I just want to see what you think and see if anyone else has also thought this.
Debian modding has revolutionized modding and it will be interesting to see just how far.
Yes, TMI is certainly a possibility. The potential of MCPE modding is quickly approaching that of the desktop version. Right now, the underlying framework for modding is being developed which will enable anybody fluent in C, C++, and ARM assembly code to create mods.
Also, these mods arent "Debian mods". Thats just how they are packaged. The mod itself is a .dylib file (dynamic library) on iOS, and a .so file (shared object library) on Android. Those files are what contain the code which an injection or loading framework then loads into the app when it's launched. Since the mods are in external files instead of being applied to the executable of MCPE, no patching is done. For iOS, that means that there will never be a mod created with this new API that will require the cracking or decrypting of the app. Mods will work right when you download the app from the AppStore.
It is very possible due to the fact that buttons have been added into the game as well As in pocket mine servers for pe you can give items with item Id and stuff. In fact the only thing stopping this is that all the Main modders are working on their own projects by their own. And also since A Free Crafting Mod is coming out tommorow. So yes I see this In the foreseeable future a too many items mod will be put into place.

Don't you think free crafting is a concept of toomanyitems? I mean you can get items without needing materials. We would also probably need marglyph's permission if we are gonna make it like TMI and name it the same. But I really hope someone can come up with this mod because it is my most favourite one :3

I'm not to up to date with the new style of coding either, but it is certainly possible, we haven't really dwelved too far inside the code way of modding. I've been trying to learn mobile substrate, to create a super saiyan transformation.
I read an article saying that MCPE devs are working on a mod API for developers to toy with, so it's very plausible for a simple mod like TMI to be added to the game.

That mod API will be in a far off version, and it will be specifically for their hosted Realms servers. Meaning server mods only. TMI is completely a client mod, so their API wouldnt help.
maybe there could be like a button or whatever in the pause menu and when you click it there is a list of items and when you press the item you get a stack of that item? that was just something i thought of
Well let me go more indepth with why we probably won't see it soon (Although it is possible):
1. Free Crafting v2 is coming out tommorow (Unless its a late April fools;) which will enable the need to have all the items without that part of the mod.
2. All the other capabilities are in Creative which you can use iMCPE Edit (Yes it all works on siris repo except the inventory editor) if you don't know how to switch creative to survival.
3. Although already famous modders have commented on this there isn't much of them who have the time to do something that will come out for 0.7.0 (Atleast for server hosts and hopefully single player servers).

Glad to see I wasn't crazy for thinking this. Although TMI would have its perks this was just a thought, I am not so sure that coding TMI would be worth the time but I could be wrong.
Oh yeah, because i dont have a life or school or a job. Not to mention all of my other projects. Plus, this was never my project in the first place. If you want it so bad, then why dont you devote weeks of your time to create a quality app without any monetary gain? It is hard to spend so much time working on mods without earning a cent for it. Ive had my paypal donation link on my topic for months now, yet only one person has donated anything (thanks Groudon!!!). That lack of incentive demotivates me from making mods. Sure, i enjoy modding, but not just any mods. I enjoy working on mods that i *want* to make. I honestly dont care much about the sneaking mod, which is why i havent touched it in months. If youve seen my youtube channel, youll see random mods i made just for the heck of it. I enjoyed making those. Please understand that making mods is NOT easy.

What exactly is your YouTube channel? I was wondering that. And please don't be like Intyre
I wont be leaving the modding scene, dont worry. Im just stressed from schoolwork and tired of hearing "finish ur sneak mod now." Ive literally had less than 10 hours of free time in the past month. I want people to think about that before making demands of me, like the above retarded "you need to make this huge iMCPE app now. Dont be lazy." </rant>
So, for the past 3-4 hours (yes, that is part of the <10 hours i just mentioned), i have been working on my modding library/framework/whatever. I made a lot of progress and greatly improved the current API for it. Also, im planning to make a YouTube video of a live modding session. By that i mean ill be running a screen recorder as I create a mod on my iPad. Youll be able to see the code as i write it and the steps i go through as i build and test it. The only thing you wont see is the source code of my modding library. This will be intended as a teaser to show some of what will be possible when my modding library is completed.

2 things
1- I want to point out that eryhaker said NOTHING about "finishing your sneaking mod"
2- eryhaker said nothing more than:
He was very nice, didn't say you where lazy, didn't even say you NEED to make the mod. So, my question is; why where you uncharicturisticly and unneccicarily rude to him?

Retired StaffTMI is more useful as it is supposed to be an in-game inventory editor. but iMCPE edit is also very useful!
What is this "new" iMCPE you speak of?
A project that was abandoned a few months ago.

A project that you should start again
