The same thing happened to me. I fixed it (kinda) by deleting some Apps I didn’t use,and by also deleting some worlds on minecraft that were useless. I also updated my Ipad to the latest version, and that seemed to help a bit.
I have a LG X Venture with the latest software and everything I have no data plan so when I turn off wifi so when in open minecraft white screen logo black screen the home screen why is this happening I have played edition since before infinite worlds I also play on pc y does this problem continue!!!!
I don’t think updating your device works, I tried restarting my phone and my phone was updated recently. (I think two days ago) and nothing worked, I also tried not using my phone(clearly that didn’t work) I’m just gonna play Gears of War 4. Maybe give my Minecraft time to calm down
Using an iPad with the latest update installed. When I try to open Minecraft it goes to the Minecraft logo, goes to the home screen and then immediately shuts down back to the iPad home screen. No messages, no error codes. When it switches to the Minecraft home page there is nothing but background. Anyone seen this or know how to fix?
Same as uglyboy4, my son had this problem a few weeks ago and we solved it by deleting and downloading the app. But of course we lost all his worlds. Now my daughter's iPad is doing it and I don't want to make the same mistake. I've checked the storage, we have plenty. We're on the most recent iOS. All apps are updated. We've closed all other apps. We've tried turning the iPad off and on again. Still no luck. If anyone has solved this problem, please, please post. We shouldn't have to delete the app to make it work.

This happened to me when I closed Minecraft so I went to my other iPad and played on that. Then I closed Minecraft on my other iPad. Then I tried to reopen it and realized that this happens when you close it so warn everyone you know who plays mcpe to be careful with Minecraft. I also don’t want to lose my worlds because usually every month I have to uninstall and reinstall minecraft but so far I’ve been doing well for two month and don’t want to throw it all in the drain. So warn people who play mcpe about this before it’s too late. I even made a whole new account just to say this so please warn them before it’s too late.

My Minecraft pe on my iPhone keeps crashing I have reset it many of times but once I got in I decided to change my skin , then all of a sudden it showed blank skin and I tried going into servers but it just bumps me out and I went in multiplayer servers but it shows like a weird skeleton skin and it’s just really weird HELP ME PLEASE ASAPP!?
If I creating a world If Done! The black screen appair and after 3 seconds The Minecraft Will Automatically Exiting And I Opening The World is black screen then exit

I couldn't get into minecraft either for about a week. Then I did what someone said to do. This so fed for me been fine ever since.
Clear you Cache
Force stop
Uninstall
Reinstall
I’m depressed I deleted my Minecraft to try to fix it but it didn’t work
Well I've been experiencing this problem and I found that it's the folder data itself. No Minecraft folder was created so it keeps crashing.

We have the excact same issue. Very frustrating. I tried to copy the MC fra Ipad to IPhone via Itunes, but that also crashes on iphone.
Could anyone advice on what files/folders we can delete via Itunes to get the worlds back?
