Ive been playing MCPE alot recently. And Ive noticed that when its early morning, the zombies are getting damaged, but they dont have burning animation. Is this normal? Any help is appreciated.
This bug isn't gonna get fixed unless somebody comes over and confirms it, and a moderator updates the status to "confirmed"
The smoking animation was normal until 0.7.0 and up....
Don't count on this bug getting fixed soon >_<...
Methinks some people have better control over their patience than others.
Personally, I see the bug yes. Could I care less? Much yes. As long as the game has no severe bug like you can't collect wood or can't eat the food you make, I'm not complaining at all.
Though I do wish they did fix the burning in the new update, whenever I burn trees with flint & steel, the fire shows up all black. Ah well, I have my patience, I can wait it out.
Don't think about chewing me up, Crazy minecraft, I try to avoid these types of arguments regularly.

But you look so chewy D:
Meh, maybe I can ask a mod maker to fix the bug and upload it as a patch.
Perhaps the reason why theres no burning animation is because of performance issues? Now that I think about it theres tons of zombies and skeletons at night waiting at day to burn to death and that could be unstable for older devices.

Lol, I know I set myself up for these sorts of things, so I have to say not to chew up my post, because I know it will happen.
I don't know about performance issues though. I run a 16GB iPad 2, 2GB of free space, I don't see how it could be a performance issue. Though if you mean the game itself and not the device's hardware, I can see that, there are an awful lot of mobs that roam the night-time, which is also why I play on peaceful when I'm building my house or want to simply take it easy. When I want TNT or some bonemeal, that's when I turn the mobs on.

Well I believe back in the 0.2.0-0.3.0 there was performance issues with zombies burning during daytime, so to fix that issue they made it so that only zombies in your render distance start burning to death. It was sort of a surprise when you see a zombie or a few zombies for the first time after several minutes into day time burning. And whenever a large amount was burning, it was kinda laggy, even with the smoke animation.
But still, they managed to re-fix that again to where all mobs on your map burn, or rather smoke out to their death. I think they may be holding back fire on mobs at daytime because of older devices. Then again they could just make it fall in animated water/fire/ option. If it's on, they have fire when exposed to daytime, if it's off, they emit smoke.
You don't like survival mode normal difficulty? Why not? I find it addicting to come out of my home at night, with my armor and sword, and beat the heck outta every mob out there. Whether it be creepers, spiders, zombies, or skeletons *Skeletons and creepers being the most annoying*
Btw, the reason why I may seem to be a bit impatient was because when spiders first came out, some people reported bug reports because the spider was as slow as a zombie. Well, 0.3.3 to 0.7.0 it was never fixed. I fear the same may come out for this bug as well, unless there's some reason for it such as old devices and performance, but I suggest they put it under that animated water/fire option as explained above
If you think it's gonna get fixed in the next update, then why do you think its normal :/?
0.7.0 had this as a bug and so did 0.7.1. I already filed a bug report at 0.7.0 and none of the staff members have decided to take a look at it
