I can just barely see...
F u glare... I do enough real life graphics... plus eveb if I hold my phone which is the xperia play a certain angle the world is to dark.
.
Before the last update, I used to exploit the wood glitch at night. I made a workshop where I would place stairs and then chop them up with an axe. Since the update I'm a bit lost of what to do. Sometimes I go into my mine, but I lose track of the day, and so once I come out again often there's just a minute or two of day before it's night again and am I like FUUUUUUU
Sometimes I just put my phone down and do something else, whilst my character stands in a safe place.
Yeah the nights suck. Hope the brightness update will fix that.
like deevil said, lots of torches, but i also have like 3 or 4 zombie mob spawners. they almost never appear in my way now. I do find myself tilting my xplay at an angle at times when im building in the dark.
Usually I go mine near the edge of the map, bust a hole open to invisible bedrock, and mine until I see daylight. Also, I have a few different builds going at one time, so, if I don't need to mine, I just work on furnishing or roofing a project until the sun comes up.
I usually build a mine under my house or use ported pc maps and go caving for hours... so fun, even when you find diamond ore hanging over lava lol tense moments
How to survive the night? it's really, REALLY easy, considering that the enemies are as weak and dumb as my little brother.
Step 1: Turn up brighteness to max. Go inside your room: turn off all the lights, dim the shades, and make it as dark as possible to reduce glare.
Step 2: Make sure you have built a shelter. If you haven't, build a tower at least 3 or 4 blocks high so the zombies can't get you. Make sure you don't fall off it though, or you're screwed!
Step 3: Torches. Lots and lots and lots of torches.
Step 4: Get at least a stone sword. Stone sword = 4 hits to a zombie.

you can use this method for now, is the same of sleeping, just download pocketinveditor. When you're in night time, exit the game, open pocketinveditor ,open the options menu of your world, and set morning time. Get back to the game and you will be in daytime. Sorry for my english.

But theres a smooth shader for iOS! Search "Smooth Shader" they finally got 2 iOS mods out, fisheye and Smooth shader xP
If I am not mistaken, this is MCPE. I just turn up brightness on me phone, and go hunt like a boss.
done.
Go to the top right of your screen, then set it to search the forums, then search "Smooth shader mod" and there you go, easy
And yes Smooth Lighting makes everything very visible at night both for iOS and Android!
