Bug fixes aplenty in today's Snapshot, 13w25c! 1.6 isn't far off now, and all loose ends are being tied up for the big launch! When is it, you ask? Not long, now!
Today's Snapshot introduces the following fixes:
BUG FIXES:
'doFiretick' makes fire to not extinguish. Lighting makes fire all over the place!
First my sound was off and I was going to turn it up, but when I did it crashed.

Well, if 1.6 is out soon, then this is a pretty boring update. However, I know that they have been working hard on the resource packs, so I will wait for 1.7 for more content.
"Other player's cats can be tied to a lead and dragged away"
LOL!! Just the thought of that I find hillarious!

For me, resource packs are a big thing. I'm using them to make my map have custom sounds! I've already gotten some "drawn sword" sounds, now I need magical lightning bolts and such. Plus the note blocks code automatically adjusts the pitch for the sound, so I get to alter the sounds in-game for even greater custom fun. The quality of the custom sounds isn't half bad either, I was able to play "Good Time" by Owl City pretty decently.
Now I feel like being silly, so I think I'm going to make entirely in vanilla.

I'm sure it's not boring. There will be invisible mobs (spiders, creepers, sheeps), horses, bug fixes, new golden apple effect (extra health, 12 hearts), and lots of new stuff

Yes!!! Finally!
IKR. That has been so annoying. I have doFireTick off so my wooden structures don't burn but then I also need to get rid of all the lightning fire.... so frustrating. Especially when you're playing SuperFlat and you can see no short of 20 patches of fire spread around where lightning struck.
Glad to see this fixed!

Define Cute (choose 1): A) Creepers Aerbunnies C) Herobrine. If you chose A): You appeal to destruction and to stereotypes. If you chose B): You are a perfectly normal person, and enjoy the Aether Mod. If you chose C): Please leave the planet now before you set off a nuclear warhead--no one enjoys mass murders, however nice they might seem to you.

Owl city is awesome!
But seriously, where are those promised new mobs? I am so psyched about the horses, but I thought there would be more. Next snapshot? Maybe? Pretty please?
I think its ironic that they said they were going to have more focused updates, but in the end it becomes add one or two things and that becomes the new update. What happened to larger updates similar to the adventure update when they add game changing/ large content updates? Why is a whole update need to add very few things like one or two blocks, a new mob? Why don't they just make a patch and not a whole update that unnecessarily breaks mods and server addons. I understand that NOW its not that big a deal considering the whole preparing for the Mod Support but I still think that if one or two features are added, don't break the game.
Damnit Mojang, I thought you fixed Grumm defiying gravity one or two snapshots ago!

Needless to say, I'm a happy camper.

Launch Minecraft, read the news posted yesterday : 1.6 is next week!
One request: Give donkeys and mules their own spawn egg so I don't have to spawn 500 horses for one donkey!
They're particles coming from the Ender Chest.
Glad they are fixing more bugs instead.
