Future Plans:
Far future: Make a random poison effect when smelting rotten flesh into leather because fumes (1.6+ and later) -Suggested by Saffroth on CurseForge page
Make mod add-ons for mods to allow those mods to have improved/logical fuels as well -Suggested by BritneyMC0206
Make a furnace block or some king of metadata storage based container as opposed to the fuel pellet system which can be clunky.
Make dried plants and other fun blocks.
Slimoline saturated block that burns like netherrack.
Known Bugs in Current Stable Release Version (1.6.2):
No config for crafting recipes (this will not be fixed, but if you are the owner of a large server and need to eliminate or edit some recipes, you can easily build your own custom jars from the GitHub src, email me for help with this)
I have no issues with YouTube features but please let me know and credit me in the video verbally and in the details. Post a link and I will come and check out the video.

Commits are appreciated. Also, I request that you commit or suggest
changes rather than just forking it if you feel major changes need to be
made, I am open to ideas
Community help is greatly appreciated
and major contributions will earn you a place in the credits for at
least that major version.
My source code is vastly different for
many of the versions. While it would be possible to have a single repo
with different branches for each version, I have found it easier to
simply have multiple working code bases due to the vast majority. There
are two totally different rewrites of the mod. So essentially 3 code
bases rather than one that works across them all. This is due to my
efforts to back port updates and keep up with the current development of
Minecraft and major forge API changes.
The mod supports 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9. I believe that the code in 1.8.x should support 1.8.0. Let me double check that. If i find it doesn't for some obscure reason, I'll split the 1.8.x version into sub versions for download
Edit 1: It appears that the code in 1.8.x is NOT compatible with 1.8.0 or 1.8.8 ...I am going to see if I can make a cross version compatible mod, if not , I will release seperate versions.
Edit 2: I just had to change a few things, then recompile the mod. I have added jars for 1.8.0 and 1.8.8 as well as 1.7.2.
Note: Support for 1.7.2 and 1.8.8 will be removed in the next major release (1.4.0). Please migrate to 1.7.10 and either 1.8.0 or 1.8.9 (recommended)
the title says "logical" furnace fuels, so i came here hoping to get a mod that fixes mc regarding things that should burn - doors, signs, etc... but your lists contains nonsense stuff like poisonous potatoes and tnt...
is there any chance you could make two configurable modes - a logical mode where you make wooden stuff and blaze powder burn and an "everything burns" mode which is what you have made now?
preferably it would have a simple config with a single on/off option instead of 100 options for every item....
Perhaps, however do you really have a USE for poisonous potatoes. Part of this mod is to just be able to get rid of things you don't want by using them as fuel. I will look into it, I have had issues with config files recently, I'm a bit more focused on adding and implementing fuel pellets and the fuel concentrator. Also, if I do add a config for the "somewhat illogical" items, they will be enabled by default because I feel that the large majority of the mod users don't mind this.
Thanks. I'm almost OCD about updating things. I'm that person that like goes to a business and sees them running windows vista or xp or even 7 sometimes and im like UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10. And then I run /version on my spigot server daily and if its like you are one version behind i update right away xD.
Edit: Also I'm pretty sure my users agree about 1.9 because most of my downloads are by far for the 1.9 file.
Cool! If you have any issues with server side, let me know. I am willing to help modpack authors because you guys are probably the most likely people to find bugs and mod incompatibility for me
Edit 1: Just FYI, I already have code set up for addon plugins to support adding blocks and items from other mods to make them burnable. If you need mod compatibility, let me know and I'm happy to write up a quick addon.
The Sexy Update (1.3.2) is now out for All supported and unsupported (looks at 1.7.2 nastily) versions of Minecraft. This is the last update that will be released unless there is a critical patch necessary until version 1.4 comes out! (Hint: Don't hold your breath, its not that close.) Mainly..I just wanted to release something to commemorate having 5,000 downloads. It was originally going to be called More Fuels Mod - 5,000 Download Edition. However, I thought that the update having only to do with the mod info tab made it too unimportant for such a great title, so I dubbed it "The Sexy Update"
Thanks for 15,000 Downloads! The backport to Minecraft 1.6.4 is 50% complete and an alpha (buggy) release is now available to the public. The source code has also been published on github for public review!
Thanks for 16,000 Downloads guys! Code backport to 1.6.4 is now 100% complete! As a result, More Fuels Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4 v1.3.2 - Release is now publicly available to download from the respective link in the post above! Please enjoy and report and bugs using the official CurseForge page bug tracker.
Thank you for 17,000 Downloads. As soon as my finals finish up on Wednesday 6/4/16 I can start work on v1.4.0 in earnest. Just a reminder, v1.4.0 will bring the following updates:
-"Fuel Pellet" Item that will be used to store concentrated fuel.
-"Fuel Block" Block that will be the equivalent of 9 Fuel Pellets
-"Concentrated Fuel Pellet" Item that will be the equivalent of 9 "Fuel Blocks"
-"Concentrated Fuel Block" Block that will be equivalent to 9 "Concentrated Fuel Pellets"
-"Coke" Concentrated coal, just like the stuff used in Steel Mills today.
-"Coke Block" A block of Coke
-"Fuel Concentrator" Machine that will be used to concentrate fuel items like flowers into more potent
This list may change and there will likely be more or less features, but this is my outline for v1.4.0 thus far.
Hey mate, good work on your first mod, I need a small change. can you add all things in the config file that can be smelted and the smelt value? specifically for v1.6.4 so this can be modified? I like the idea but i would like to configure individual smelting of items. and the Rate it gives per item.

this would make your mod extremely customizable.
also, what editor do you use?
Thanks in advance.
