This one is a continuation to my series of '2MC' mods, where I implement a real-life API into Minecraft.
This mod is for chatting with the popular Discord app in Minecraft
easily, as well as having Discord messages appear in Minecraft chat.
This mod is completely clientside, so it works just fine on servers!
Features:
- Send messages to any server channel you are a part of.
Greetings Scarabcoder, I'd like to give you several points of feedback that I have for this mod.
First of all I want to start out by saying that it seems to work very well for its intended purpose, and the GUI is very easy to use.
Sadly though it takes a lot of time to check each channel and respond to that channel by ways of having to navigate to it each time.
Perhaps having a specific discord channel be visible in the ingame chat and being able to respond to that by ways of the actual chat (Like the EiraIRC mod has as an IRC bridge) would solve this point of feedback :).
Keep up the work, and I hope to hear more!
Hello Corjaantje!
I'm by no means a UI designer, so I'm glad to hear you liked it. Someone did request that I add something to go with a mod which allowed chat channels (usually for PMs). I never implemented that, but I did think about it. It's been a while since I worked on this mod, but I'm pretty sure I may have implemented a hotkey which allowed users to reply to the last message with a simple GUI. I've learned that making clientside mods/capturing chat messages before being sent (so it's all clientside) is annoyingly difficult.
I haven't done modding in general in a while, and I've been busy with school and other programming projects. Most of my mods probably won't be getting updates, though if anyone ever wanted to continue them I'd make it open source. On the plus side, though, since most of what I do is clientside, updating isn't very hard.
Thanks for the feedback!
P.S Of course, if anyone wanted to make it worthwhile for me to update these mods, I wouldn't mind doing it

Download?
Will there ever be a download to this mod?..
Did I seriously forget to link a download? Do'h. I host my mods on PMC and CurseForge mainly.
Added the download link to the thread.
