This is a liteloader mod for minecraft versions 1.8.9 and up based heavily on Urushibara's Armors HUD Mod. It displays the equipped armor on screen, so you can check the armor's damage any time. This mod requires LiteLoader 1.8.9 or newer to run. Download the latest compatible versions here.
Unlike the original, it is unavailable in any other form than a litemod, as this is the second true mod I've made and am unfamiliar with any modding system other than the new gradle development system for liteloader that began with 1.8.9.
As of version 1.11, Minecraft versions older than 1.11 are no longer supported. This is due to using an improved interface that didn't exist in LiteLoader prior to 1.11.
--Version 1.2.0
-added internationalization
-updated the config panel to utilize an improved interface available after 1.11
-refactored renderer code to make more overlay locations easier to add
-updated project to be LiteMDK compliant
-added changelog to mod description
--Version 1.1.0
-Added the ability to Toggle Armors HUD on and off through the liteloader config panel and via keybind
-Added the ability to move the HUD between bottom right, bottom left, and top center of the screen, also through config panel and keybind
-settings are saved when you change them, and reloaded when the game starts; the settings file is unversioned, so your preferences will sync between all different versions of minecraft which are running version 1.1 of the mod or newer
-Added a mod description in-game
-Reorganized the code and internal structure of the mod to make it compatible with an as of yet unnamed and unannounced project of mine that I'll refer to only as "the plan"
-Added support for 1.8.9 as well as syncing the mod to all subsequent versions of minecraft for the 1.1 release
Version 1.0.3
-Updated to 1.10; no revision for earlier versions released, though I did end up releasing a second version of 1.0.3 not too long after it was initially released to support the multiversion compatibility between 1.10 and 1.10.2
Version 1.0.2
-Updated to 1.9.4; no revision for 1.9 or 1.8.9 version released, as no functionality was changed
Version 1.0.1
-Fixed side by side compatibility with Pop Enchant Tags Revived
Version 1.0.0
-Initial port from 1.8 to 1.9 (skipped 1.8.9 because it was unstable at the time)
Alternatively, the prior versions for 1.7.10 and 1.8 can be found on Urushibara's original post here.

i like this plugin, are you gonna update it to 1.9.4? i hope so.
I'm currently working on updating, but I'm visiting family for the summer, so while I do have the laptop I use for coding, finding time to work on it is a bit difficult. Bear with me though, and I'll have it out soon.
EDIT: I've finished figuring out how to switch it over between different versions of minecraft without starting over (an important milestone when figuring out gradle, aparently) and as such, I've released version 1.0.2 for minecraft with liteloader 1.9.4

Love it I previously used it on some of my old 1.8 saves but I came here just before I do the BIG upgrade to 1.9.4! I hope it's just as great on 1.9.4!
Everything should work the same as in 1.8, since even though the Elytra was added, the mod uses the image displayed for each item as it would appear in your inventory. So really, if you could wear bedrock for pants, it'd show that block in the pants slot. In the future, if they add more armor slot wearables, those would show up properly too. All I have to do is update the parts of the mod that do the actual rendering and logic.

Currently there's another mod (which I only found out about recently) that does exactly what you're talking about, and may, admittedly serve as a replacement to this mod here. It shows numbers next to armors and tools/weapons, and even shows a count of how many arrows are remaining numerically over bows. Unfortunately, the dev for it hasn't updated to 1.9.x or 1.10 quite yet (in fact, I myself only have all my mods updated because I'm slightly obsessive), but eventually he will, and I don't particularly care to reinvent the wheel, especially since despite the fact that we inherited our mods from different original authors, if I were to make mine like his in that way, I'd basically be stealing what makes his mod his mod away from him. So for now, at least, I'm going to keep my mod in its minimalistic form, and limited to (as the title says) armor only.

I wonder, is it possible to move the HUD to another place of the screen ?
On bottom right, it's just taking over the subtitles feature of Minecraft...
I'm currently looking into that as a future feature, but between work, school, and all the other mods I maintain, I've not had much of an opportunity to look at it in detail.

Absolutely not -- even support for LiteLoader 1.7.10 is almost nonexistent and impossible to set up a dev environment. I'm not going to develop this mod for ANY version earlier than 1.8.9, since any earlier version needs to be left behind in favor of newer versions.

so there is no way you can make this support 1.8? not 1.8.9 straight up 1.8
If you read the original post, there is a version available for 1.8, but it's from the original author, Urushibara, on their own thread here. The only differences are that my upgraded version is toggleable in-game, both via a keybind and through a new config panel, and mine can be moved between three on-screen locations. Other than that, they're virtually identical.
As far as the possibility of producing version 1.1 for Minecraft 1.8.0, I'm 97.3% certain that it'll never happen, as Mumfrey switched to a new method of LiteMod development with 1.8.9. Anything earlier involved some complicated setup involving the Mod Coder Pack (MCP) and required LiteLoader code to be downloaded as well. I started developing when 1.9.4 had been out for a while, near the release of 1.10, reviving this among other mods that were abandoned. This means that I have only ever used the ForgeGradle system that LiteLoader development used from 1.8.9 onward, and going backward at this point, at least two major Minecraft releases later, is not something that should happen. Mumfrey has even all but abandoned support for LiteLoader 1.8.9, much less 1.8.0, so I'm inclined to follow his lead there and let 1.8.0 fade into obsolescence.

The main reason I'm not jumping on this right now is because there actually is an effect HUD that does both potion and ambient effects in the top right corner of newer versions of minecraft. Developing something for older versions that would be obsolete for new versions seems somewhat counterproductive

Thanks for the mod. I have a suggestion for future releases if you could. It would be nice to be able to choose mid-right or mid-left for the additional HUD elements. If you use others mods they tend to take up positions as well and I'm forced to use yours in the chat section right now.

I'll definitely look into this -- the only reason I hadn't implemented this already is that I'd not realized there was a need for it. Even so, it'll take me a couple days to get this set up, as I'm currently visiting my girlfriend for the week and don't have my coding laptop with me.

Thank you for your consideration, enjoy your QT (quality time) with your girlfriend. It is no real big rush since many mods are just getting updated at this moment and I'm only running about 61 versus the over 110 I usually run. :D:D
Hi Mod, is it fix on the lower right of the screen or we can put it anywhere? cause inprefer somehow like the left area of shield in buttom of the screen but armor sets of 4 squares shows on right side of opposite area same like shield, hoping the same visual that has slot box.
