I'm Roxa form Germany (as you may notice, my English is not perfect, but I'll do my best!). I started coding Minecraft just around Christmas 2012.
I love Minecraft as it is and because of that I make my mods as near to the vanilla minecraft as possible. That means no fancy stuff you don't need, and simple mods. I mostly use what is already there. Why should I add sugar cubes, if I could feed my horses an already existing apple? I love apples (and horses too ).
If you know how to do things in vanilla minecraft, you can probably do this in my mod too (like crafting stairs).
Version Update: I probably won't update my mods on the first day a new Minecraft version is released. Please be patient and wait a few days, check this page regularly. 1.10.2 is on the way, just need to squash a few bugs.
Please report any bugs you find here. I had no one but myself to test these mods, so there might still be some bugs.
If you want to make more textures or a mod review, feel free to do so! I'd love to see what you created
Let me know if you have my mod included to your modpack, I'll put a link here.
If you want to know how I coded things, feel free to ask I'll help you if possible (and if I got time).
My Mods
Roxa's Ender Cloud Mod
What does this mod do?
Adds a Block called Ender Cloud and two Items: Ender Pouch and Ender Cloud Pouch.
The Ender Cloud is similar to an Ender Chest, its inventory can be accessed wherever you are and is shared over all dimensions (Overworld, Nether, End). The inventory is also shared between all Players, so you can easily swap or trade stuff back and forth no matter where you are.
No matter which Ender Cloud is opened (or even if only the Pouch is used) all Ender Clouds will open.
The Pouches are a mobile version of the Ender Chest and Ender Cloud. Rightclicking them opens the equivalent inventory but also inflicts some damage to you, as you have to pull the stuff through the void of the End (similar to teleporting with Ender Pearls).
Adds straw blocks. Normal blocks, stairs and half slabs.
You can use these e.g. to create new straw roofs or to make more comfy stables. Or just store your wheat.
Stairs give back 6 wheat and Blocks give back 4 wheat (as many as needed to craft one).

Stables with straw
When using ModLoader:
Backup your minecraft.jar (if you don't know how to get there: Click ) (From 1.6.1 onward: this is now your jar in the versions folder (not in .bin any more))
Version for MC 1.8: v1.2 or v1.3 WARNING: Updating from 1.7 to 1.8 will destroy all of the straw blocks placed in the world and you have to replace them. Also Updating from 1.7 to 1.8 is very unstable, your world may do some very funny things (for example: straw blocks you placed in a chest will now be slime blocks...) This is due to the change of the mod ID (I had to do this to address a bug). I hope this is the last time something like this happens.
Adds stone stairs. Stairs made out of smooth stone.
Crafting Recipe:
Just like normal stairs using smooth stone.

I hope this is the last time something like this happens.
Version for MC 1.9: v1.4
You probably know the problem of too many seeds as soon as you got a good wheat farm going. So what to do with the seeds? Too much for feeding chickens... This mod adds a new use: Burn them in a furnace!
Apart from normal wheat seeds you can burn pumpkin or melon seeds, leaves, wheat (all of them give a quarter of the energy you need to cook one Item) and sugar cane (which gives half the energy, just like sticks do).
Best way to burn large quantities of seeds/anything else: connect a hopper to the side of a furnace and place a chest above the hopper: The hopper will automatically feed the fuel you put in the chest into the furnace.
When using ModLoader
Backup your minecraft.jar (if you don't know how to get there: Click ) (From 1.6.1 onward: this is now your jar in the versions folder (not in .bin any more))
Adds a craftable gem to easily store your Experience and share it with other players.
To do this, grab your Gem and rightclick: That will deposit one of your levels into the gem. To get the experience back, simply hold shift/sneak and rightclick.
The gem can hold up to 50 levels and will give back experience as long as the players level is below 100.
You will notice the shining effect as long as at least one level is stored. The "damage bar" shows how full the gem is. Looking like in the crafting recipe the gem is empty. If the bar is green, it is nearly fully charged. If there is no damage bar at all, the gem stores 50 levels.
When using ModLoader
Backup your your_minecraft_version.jar in the versions folder (not in .bin any more))
put the .jar-File (1.7.x+) /zip-Folder (1.6.x) into the mods folder in your .minecraft directory
Run minecraft with the forge version, enjoy!

It adds three and four high doors. Wooden and Iron. Look like normal doors, work like normal doors.
One by three. Two normal doors (either two iron doors, or two wooden doors), one placed above the other.
Two by three: Two 1x3 doors next to each other.

For setting doors via a command you need to give the block the proper metadata. For the doors every block saves a little bit of information. Roxa's Access Control Mod
What does this mod do?
With this mod you can build a complex access control system. Something like a master key system with personal authorization.
In addition to doors you can power any redstone circuit with it.
Gameplay Information:
There are:
Access Administrator Block
Access Card
Access Panel
Administrator Block:
Block for administration of cards
Rightclick to open the GUI
Card slot in the upper left corner: Here you can put a card or a stack of cards to edit it
Tab Colors: Here you can add or remove colors. A card with a certain color, is permitted to activate equivalent Panels
Tab Panels: A list of panel names which the card is permitted to activate as well. The panels can also be deleted here
Tab New Panel: Add a new panel
Card:
The card which is handed over to the player
In the card is stored which colors can be activated and which special panels the card is permitted to activate
Cards can be edited with the administrator block
Panel:
Is placed next to the door, redstone circuit or whatever should be powered
When activated it has the same effect as a button/lever placed in the same spot
When activated it activates all panels with the same name (no name does not count as the same name) in a radius of five blocks on the same level and in a radius of three blocks 3 levels above and beneath it. If the panels should be in Toggle mode then all of the panels have to be in toggle mode, otherwise they'll only work as a "button"
Has an Administration-GUI, which can be opend by shift-rightclicking with a card with administration permission
Tab Name: Here the panel can be named. The name can also be seen when you are next to the panel. This name can be saved on a card to grant a player special permissions
Also in the tab Name: Toggel Mode: Here you can switch between "button" and "lever". Off means that the panel deactivates itself after about a second. When toggle mode is on the panel deactivates only when beeing clicked by a valid card again
Tab Color: Change the color of the panel
Tab Player: A list of players with permission to activate this panel. Each of these players only needs a card and can activate the panel even without any further permissions
Tab New Player: Here you can add a new player to the list. If an empty name is saved everybody with a card can access this panel, no further permissions needed
Fun Fact: The little red and green lights glow in the dark
Adds Horses. Only Horses, only one breed, but tameable and rideable Horses. Very simple, you don't need any additional gear or items. I like it to be as near to the vanilla game as possible.
Just some short gameplay information:
Read if you want to tame and ride horses!
Horses only spawn in the Plains Biome.
To spawn horses in creative mode use the brown spawn egg.
Horses generated by the Game are wild Horses.
You can tame them with red apples. But be careful, they speed away if you come to close!
Tips: Riding an already tame horse you are faster than wild horses!
But even tame horses don't follow you like a dog, you have to either ride them or lure them with an apple.
Wilde horses have dark brown legs and an eel back (dark line on the back). Tame horses have white legs and a white mark on the head.
Only tame Horses follow the Player if he is holding a red apple.
Only tame Horses mate.
You can mate horses with red apples.
Only foals from tame Horses are tame.
Saddling the Horse: right click with Saddle on a tamed horse.
To get the saddle off right click with an empty Hand.
To mount/dismount the horse right click with something in your hand (but no red apple, that will get the horse into love mode).
The horse can be ridden in 4 different gaits, even backwards!
To steer the horse while riding, tap W (you don't have to hold it down) to make the horse faster, tap S to slow it down/go backwards. Holding down A and D turns the horse.
You don't need a carrot on a stick to steer them.
The horse will jump two blocks high if you press space.
Be careful: A Horse doesn't like going into the water while ridden. It gets very stubborn and you have to dismount it.
The horse also may disobey you if it has been ridden recently. Just show it a red apple (you don't have to feed it) and as soon as it follows you, you can mount it again. It now will do whatever you want.
Wild Horses have Health 15, tamed ones have 20.
Horses drop 0-2 leather on death.
Naturally spawned herd
Wild Horse and Horse Spawn Egg
Wild Foal
Tame Horse
Tame Foals
A saddled horse
Riding the horse
Backup your minecraft.jar (if you don't know how to get there: Click )
Install ModLoader (Get it here ) (Or try it with Forge. May work, but not tested.)
Don't forget to delete the META-INF folder!
Unzip the "Roxas Horses Mod"
Open your minecraft.jar (as you did for ModLoader)
Drag and drop everything from the "put content into minecraft.jar" into the minecraft.jar, then close it
Copy everything from the "put content into .minecraft resources" into the resources folder (into .minecraft/resources NOT the jar-file or .minecraft/bin!!!) Otherwise you won't have the horse sounds.
Run minecraft, enjoy!
To make riding horses not to easy, there is currently no crafting recipe for saddles. Is that all right or do you want craftable saddles?
For the same reason you can only use red apples. I know, that you don't have many of it, but there should still be a challenge. If it is so easy to ride a horse, where is the fun in doing it?
Changelog:
[1.5.1] Horses full speed made faster
[1.5.1] Spawn rates reduced
[1.6.1] Stopped updating this mod
Bugs:
[partially FIXED] Game crashes if you want to dismount your horse with an empty hand.
[FIXED] Wild horse has no eel back.
Roxa's Mod Pack
Just for convenience, so you don't have to download all of my mods separately if you want all of them.

When using ModLoader (must be used for all versions with horses!)
Backup your minecraft.jar (if you don't know how to get there: Click ) (From 1.6.1 onward: this is now your jar in the versions folder (not in .bin any more))
Open your minecraft.jar (as you did for ModLoader)
Drag and drop everything from the "put content into minecraft.jar" into the minecraft.jar, then close it
(Skip this point for 1.6.2 onward) Copy everything from the "put content into .minecraft resources" into the resources folder (into .minecraft/resources NOT the jar-file or .minecraft/bin!!!) Otherwise you won't have the horse sounds.

having a mod that only adds horses would be a nice addition to the mods I use. gonna give it a go... the test will be if the kiddo's dig it. (they are mad at me about having to remove mo'creatures from our mods... they love horses!)
Hey there! I just found your mods this evening, and I'm gonna give the horse one a go!
I've been looking for about an hour, though, on an old world with lots of Plains biomes. In your experience, do they still spawn in previously generated chunks or am I gonna have to make a run for it?
Keep up the great work!

Superpop is so underground, he lives with a Diglett!
This is cool, finally a mod which JUST adds tamable/ridable horses without all kinds of other nonsense added. Thank you.
Only one thing, they don't quite move fast enough in my opinion, sprinting on foot feels faster.
I have to agree with you on this. If you're still around, maybe try this for me, and see if it makes it any better:
While riding your horse, give it a punch. Just one, and with your hand. It should freak out and try to run away (with you still on it), and in doing so it moves quite a bit faster than your horse normally does at a full gallop.
Now, once it's done spazzing, try to run at full speed in any direction.
It should still be running at that speed, until you dismount.
I can repeat this "bug" on my own client but have no way of knowing if it's just me.
Anyway, my point is, that feels like a good "full speed" reference point. Not so fast that it's crazy, but it is a little faster than a normal sprint. I can't tell if the horse is always supposed to move like that and doesn't due to an error, or if it's never supposed to be at that speed, because sometimes, very rarely, I can get a horse to do that without smacking it around.
For a while I thought it would depend on what surface it was running on, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
But yeah, I really like this mod. So far I think I can confirm that they will only spawn in newly loaded chunks, but they're fairly common when they do spawn, so they won't be hard to find. I cleared out a couple of biomes of all wildlife, so I'll be able to tell shortly whether they can spawn in old ones that aren't at the passive mob limit.
I especially appreciate the vanilla nature of this mod. It feels like it would fit seamlessly into normal minecraft; not only does it use regular items for taming/riding, but it has a grand total of 0 obnoxious fluff items! It feels good to know that if I ever need to update my client, I wont force chunk errors by having non-supported items in any of my chests.
So keep up the fantastic work!

Superpop is so underground, he lives with a Diglett!
I just want to say that I love your horse mod! It is simple to install and use and I love the "vanilla" feel to the horses. (I had installed Mo Creatures but found it was too complex - installing a ton of dependent software and I didn't need most of the creatures). Your mod really does fit seamlessly into the normal minecraft. Also I love how the horses are only 1 block wide so I can fit them into a huge mushroom "stable" door.
It would be cool if we could "dye" our horses like sheep - that way they can be a different colour! If you have time, maybe consider adding this?
Also if it is possible, could you install a feature where we could tie our horses up when we're out on an adventure? I ride them to say, a mine and when I come out again I have to spend a while looking for my horse... heh. I know I could box him up in a dirt sarcophagus but a "tie to fence post" or "ground tie" feature would be very cool.
I very much enjoy your mods here. The straw is quite nice, and the horses are a nice alternative to installing the entire Mo'Creatures mod just for some horses. Really, Jeb should've done this by now, so you didn't have to go through the work of doing it yourself... I will give you an upvote simply because you did it before him. XD

Not to annoy people after the "event" at the start of December but is your Horse Mod compatible with Better Than Wolves?
I went ahead and made a "testing" instance of my current MC 1.47/BTW 4.58 world. Started OK, exited ok. Didn't see any horses, but I didn't actually find a plains biome.
From my limited understanding of Better Than Wolves compatibility, modloader mods that don't modify the same base classes _should_ work. I've always thought the "animal training" mods (Doggy Talents, Magical cats and Simply Horses) were good fits for BTW. I'm especially happy to have another horse mod.
Adds Horses. Only Horses, only one breed, but tameable and rideable Horses. Very simple, you don't need any additional gear or items. I like it to be as near to the vanilla game as possible.
You are a great person. I will die happy, knowing that I am not the only person who dislikes Mo' Creatures' style of over-stuffing it's mod with trinkets, doodads, and too much variety.
EDIT: I attempted Forge installation, but to no avail. The horses are throwing an error.
So, I'll say that I would deeply appreciate a Forge compatible version of this mod for 1.4.6/1.4.7
EDIT2: Straw mod also throws error.
Thank you for making it in the first place and getting me all excited!
Would definitely like to see a Forge version. And being able to just drop the pack into the Mods folder is so much nicer than having to add files to the Jar, especially when I'm working with several mods at once.
But I'm looking forward to the possibility of having a straw block. It's something I think is very useful to making things look right whenever I'm trying to make buildings for animals or certain house types. So thanks for making this mod!

Version for MC 1.8: v1.2 or v1.3 WARNING: Updating from 1.7 to 1.8 will destroy all of the stone stairs blocks placed in the world and in chests (?) and you have to replace them. Also Updating from 1.7 to 1.8 is very unstable, your world may do some very funny things. This is due to the change of the mod ID (I had to do this to address a bug). I hope this is the last time something like this happens.

What does this mod do?
Adds more organic fuel for the furnace.
If you got an old version delete it before installing the new one!

What does this mod do?
Bugs:
[FIXED] Not using actual experience but only levels which allows you some cheating
[FIXED] not giveable via Commands/Command Blocks due to space in mod id
[FIXED] Crashing on servers
Changelog:
[1.6.2] Added sounds and removed the nasty chat messages.
[1.7.2v1.1] Changed mod id (no spaces any more)
[1.8.0v1.2] Now using the correct amount of experience in stead of level

What does this mod do?
It adds three and four high doors. Wooden and Iron. Look like normal doors, work like normal doors.
Two by three: Two 1x3 doors next to each other.
Two by four. Four normal doors placed in a square.
For setting doors via a command you need to give the block the proper metadata. For the doors every block saves a little bit of information. The full information you only get by combining the bottom, middle and top block. So here are the metadata you need for placing my doors, fat are the ones you probably need.

What does this mod do?
Adds Horses. Only Horses, only one breed, but tameable and rideable Horses. Very simple, you don't need any additional gear or items. I like it to be as near to the vanilla game as possible.
Just some short gameplay information:
Read if you want to tame and ride horses!

Wild Foal

Riding the horse
To make riding horses not to easy, there is currently no crafting recipe for saddles. Is that all right or do you want craftable saddles?
For the same reason you can only use red apples. I know, that you don't have many of it, but there should still be a challenge. If it is so easy to ride a horse, where is the fun in doing it?

EXELENT MOD!
but the horse are hard to tame so i run with apples to them to tame them.
and remove that you take the saddle with the empty hand.
I like vanilla-ery mods.
I have a new account called "Mushroomsock" now, so please do not send me PMs.
I've been looking for about an hour, though, on an old world with lots of Plains biomes. In your experience, do they still spawn in previously generated chunks or am I gonna have to make a run for it?
Keep up the great work!

Thanks so much for making the mod. I love it.

Thanks! Good luck with the mod.
Please Read Our Rules! -> Click Here
But I'm looking forward to the possibility of having a straw block. It's something I think is very useful to making things look right whenever I'm trying to make buildings for animals or certain house types. So thanks for making this mod!
My YouTube channel is currently on hiatus, but I hope to get back to it at some point. Content is fairly random, but can be enjoyable, and is mostly game footage (mostly random Minecraft clips) from my nephews and me. Most popular MC vid so far is the one Vechs laughed at on Twitter!
