HDSAC: HD Skins and Cloaks
This is a Forge Core Mod that gives you complete control over your player skin and cloak. Use any size skin or cloak!
How does it work?
This mod uses the power of Forge to change vanilla minecraft files without doing direct base edits. Any file that has to do with Skins or Cloaks has been slightly modified. This mod uses Forge's Library feature to download Jibble and run it in a separate thread.
The Jibble server will serve up HD skins that you place in the config/denoflionsx/HDSAC/MinecraftSkins folder and Cloaks in config/denoflionsx/HDSAC/MinecraftCloaks folder.
You can install this core mod on a dedicated server and it will provide the Jibble function. Forward whatever port you assign in the config (default is 80) and you can serve up HD skins and cloaks to your players! Use them as donation rewards or give moderators/admins unique cloaks! You can also use any pre-existing web server for hosting as long as you create a MinecraftSkins and MinecraftCloaks folder.
If a skin or cloak cannot be found for a player the mod will fall back to using normal Minecraft behavior (try Mojang's server or use the Steve skin).
HDSAC is not required to play on a server with it installed. Players without it won't be able to see HD skins and will see whatever skin is on that player's minecraft.net profile.
Configuration:
This mod uses a normal Forge Configuration file.

InternalServer_Port: The port the Jibble server will use.
UseInternalServer: Turns the Jibble server on or off.
SkinServerURL: Change this to what your server admin tells you if the server you play on supports HDSAC. Any players using the same public facing server will see each other's HD skins and cloaks.

This mod will completely break smart moving. I'll see if I can merge the changes through Forge somehow.
Here is a normal cape template:

Sorry, couldn't find a template.
No, sorry. I am strictly a Forge developer. Maintaining two versions would be silly since (most) ModLoader mods work with Forge.
(google translate. I don't actually speak Spanish.)
English:
Install the mod on your server and start it once. Edit the config file to select your port and then forward the port on your router or ask your host to do it for you. Once you have that done point the client config file at your server and port.
what I do is:
coremod denLib folder
Coremod HDSAC folder
start minecraft
close minecraft
InternalServer_Port change the port = 25500 (port forwarded)
and placed in config / denoflionsx / HDSAC / MinecraftSkins
. png file
then start mc
and nothing happens
also use google translate I don't actually speak english
For single player just install the mod and start your game once so everything generates properly. Exit your world and go into the config/denoflionsx/HDSAC folder. There will be two folders in here: MinecraftSkins and MinecraftCloaks. Name your skin/cloak file after your user name and put it in the appropriate folder. When you load your world you should be wearing that skin/cloak.
Example: If my name in-game was den, I would name my skin den.png. I would put it in the MinecraftSkins folder.
¿Ha asignado el archivo png después de que su nombre de usuario minecraft? Si su nombre en el juego es sk13lg usted tiene que nombrar el sk13lg.png archivo png.
Did you name the png file after your minecraft user name? If your name in game is sk13lg you have to name the png file sk13lg.png.
This mod works fine with your minecraft.net skin. If there isn't a skin for you in the folder it checks with Mojang to see if they have one.
Post the skin file you were trying to use.
I've never seen any lag in the inventory/3rd person. I only get a little hiccup when other HD skinned players load in near me.
Jibble isn't required. You can use any web server software or a cloud host like dropbox. Jibble is just super easy since HDSAC can download and configure it automatically. I'm using crappy DSL internet and I don't have any issues with it.
<----man pants
p.s. LOL
Cape doessnt show up either
how do i use dropbox i plan to us it
Im having the same problem and it says stoping internal server when i exit my game
The connection stuff is controlled by Mojang code. HDSAC doesn't change the method just the target. If the target server isn't responding it might hang up for a second, but it shouldn't try more than once every time the player is loaded.
Stopping internal server is a normal message from Minecraft. Nothing to do with HDSAC.
For dropbox you make your MinecraftSkins and MinecraftCloaks folders in your public dropbox folder. Set the url in your config file to your public folder's url.
