I was just looking for emeralds and iron on the stony peaks biome, and then came across 4 emerald ores in one clump. As far as I know, it is also all in one chunk. To this point, I have only seen a single emerald ore together, but no more than one. So, how rare is this?
I think I've seen 2 emeralds next to each other but definitely not more.
I'd have said it was virtually impossible, going on the info in the Wiki.
Sure, you can get up to 50 emeralds in a chunk (very unlikely but that's the theoretical maximum) so getting 4 emeralds next to each other could certainly happen but you wouldn't expect them to form a neat square if they weren't part of the same blob.
I admit I was nearly certain that you had changed the blob size in the settings somewhere but I recreated the world with your seed and sure enough there they were!

Just testing.
