Me and my friend started an SMP not so long ago and we only have 2 auto farms and the basic manual farms and one contraption, our auto farms are a beef/leather farm and a semi automatic crop farm, and a super smelter; what farms or contraptions should we have in this stage. I'm willing to elaborate more on the progress of the SMP in the comments of this thread

If you want to use explosions in your farms it would be a good idea to farm lava for obsidian. I don't know if cauldrons can be auto harvested via hopper-full-of-empty-buckets or not.

Any farm that can get you XP quickly is good (ex. mob farms or trading halls), but make sure that if it on an SMP you don't make something that'll lag everyone else's game. More specifically, don't make a super powerful farm for a server you'll know will cause it to crash in some form.

A flushed creeper farm.

I highly suggest to place fences where the water gets dispensed to reduce lag.

(The fence can only be waterlocked or not, so no sinking water on that block)

Since you already have i super smelter, you should consider a kelp farm.

I once build one with a flying machine for harvest.

It was a mess to place the signs and the water but the farm defenetly is worth it.

I used a design similar to ilmangos. You shouldn't have problems finding the video if you'r intefested.
