i've looked at multiple threads and they've all given fixes that i dont understand, like manually deleting the files of the world, which i dont wanna mess up the world, plus its a server hosted by minehut so there isnt alot i can do myself
so my problem ,is that i got a woodland mansion map from my cartographer, traveled around 5000 blocks, got to the indicator, and theres no woodland mansion. nothing. just a stupid village like 70-100 blocks away
the chunks have never been loaded anywhere near it, and this server is in 1.17.1 (used to be 1.16.5, automatically updated to 1.17)
is there anything i can do to make the mansion load in? it took me hours to finally get the map and travel all the way there, and it sucks having to go all the way back because of a bug.
i dont have an elytra either, so this took way longer than it needed to
it may be worth noting that i had found two buried treasure maps beforehand, dug up an entire chunk, and there were no treasure chests.
ill try to get the seed, and see if it might just be the server hosting, but other than that i genuinely dont know why this happened.
I would say thats is a server issue/setting, given that you've not found any treasure chests at the two locations you mention either ... but i dont know about servers ... people have mentioned in the past something like a "Generating Structures" setting being set to OFF, but I can't rem much about it or even if its relevant. Would a "structures" setting affect treasure chests tho?
As for deleting files, if you are in a newly explored area with no new or surrounding builds, you can delete the relevant .mca file (each mca file covers 512 x 512 blocks) from the region folder, the problem is working out which one it is. In my SP world where i've had to do this a few times, i've hung around in the area for a few mins as my last act before leaving the game, then sorting the mca files in the region folder by date (and by ignoring the files marked 1,0 / -1,0 / 0,1 / 0,-1 etc as they are the spawn chunks which are always loaded) and the most "recent" files are the areas i was last in. Then, before deleting the file, go back in the game and move your player well out of the area, so he won't be in the deleted region. You could also rename the region file extension temporarily so its not deleted, so the game will generate a new region but you'll still have the old file(s) you can rename and "put back" as it were. But as you're on a server, thats probably not an option, and the dates of the mca files may be altered by other players playing in diff regions etc.
i dont think its a structure thing as ive found a treasure chest after those two, so for some reason i guess they either arent loading in properly or were duds.
i did look on the minehut site but it only gives me the files for the spawn as youve mentioned so i guess theres no way to make the mansion load in.

Mintutor now works in 1.13!

thank you for the answer
If you got the seed, you could re-create a SP creative world based on it and just fly to the coordinates and see if its there?
