Hi, i'm playing Java, 1.13, and in my rather large world (which some of you know of), i'm currently converting an end portal Stronghold into a Silverfish Temple design. My initial thought was simply to destroy the spawner as I had no use for it and its position and proximity was problematic to leave it. However during the mining out phase I temporarily boxed it with dirt 9x9x3 to prevent spawns whilst i worked. But i now have a novel idea I'd like to try, but i need to move the spawner about 5 blocks further away from the portal. I have no problem using a mod temporarily or maybe some other means to move it. Anyone have any ideas? Is it possible?
If you don't mind using mods, then you won't mind using creative. Place a new spawner at the desired location and right-click the spawner with a spawn egg of the desired mob.

After doing a bit of research after reading your post, I realised I never knew you could do this! I've only ever created new worlds (well actually one) in Creative mode as a start option. But reading a blog just now, all i have to do is open the wordl to LAN with Cheats On and use the console with "/gamemode c" to put into Creative, afterwards "/gamemode s" to put it back, then restart the game normally and i'll be back as i was with the spawner moved ... is that right?

But then i'd want to remove the portal blocks
Besides, I have 11 XP farms in my world including two very good Gold Farms and a Guardian Farm, not really after another farm at this point.
