I beat Survival mode, built many different structures around my world, I’ve showed my few friends everything in this world, I’ve played creative mode and have built every Minecraft mob out of wool, not to mention the hundreds of hours I’ve spent playing Lifeboat, and the Hive, although mostly the Hive. I’ve been playing Minecraft for 8 and a half years now, and I’m starting to drift away from it. Right now for my (potentially) final project on this game I’m trying to recreate the entire world and gameplay of Undertale by only using command blocks and creative mode stuff. I just want a reason to play, I don’t want to leave but I am and unless I find something else to do, I might quit.
Take a break. I see posts like this all the time and many times people act like not playing Minecraft is the worst thing in the world. It's not. Minecraft is a great game but people get burnt out doing things they love all the time. My experience is that the more you try to force yourself to play when you aren't enjoying it anymore the harder you will burn out and the longer it will take you to eventually get back into it. If you get back into it at all.
I play Minecraft for maybe 2-3 months and then take a several month break. If I didn't do that I'd probably play for 6 months straight and then never again. Taking breaks from hobbies is healthy.
