Hello, didn't know if I should put this in the server category but whatever, on my Paper server I decided to make a train station in my world. It works like this: the minecart comes from the previous station and goes up a ramp. When it comes back down the ramp, power rails and momentum send it back the other way out of the station. Essentially, when I'm at the other station waiting for the cart to come back, it never does. When I go back to check on the cart, immediately as the chunk loads the cart's momentum works again. I've tried using force load and various other plugins to no avail.[/p]
Can anyone help?[/p]
Dunno much about Server settings, but in a single player world, only the spawn chunks and the chunk you are in are active. In a server i guess the chunks are loaded for additional players too, but regardless - if a cart is in a loaded chunk it should continue til it reaches its destination, unless it hits an unloaded chunk in which case it will stop as you have discovered. You would need some kind of plug-in i guess that would keep all the chunks that your minecart station and rail lines operate in loaded, so the carts always work regardless of who is in the world and where, but depending on how big the rail line area is, that could be very resource intensive PC wise and possibly make the game unplayable ...
Did you test it with KeepChunks?

There is the /keepchunks keeprail command

Mintutor now works in 1.13!
MrKite & Mc_Etlam ... I salute you!
I've tried other chunk-keeping plugins. Haven't tried this one but I'll give it a shot!
