I love cool terrain. Normal terrain is boring, except for Extreme Hills. They are amazing! So I randomly created custom worlds, trying to find amazing terrain. And I NAILED IT!
So I created a world and got amazing spikes. I made my base in one.
And my farm is growing without much water. What? Well, this is my current base.

I forgot to post today's work. I made this to hide the reproduction system for the villagers. Some parts look weird but well, I like it this way. Part of the highest roof is made of glass, otherwise it would have broken the system.
Sorry just had to mention your wording. Also do you do all of your paths with brown clay and carpets? It looks like you only put two. Unless thats to cover lighting?

I've been playing on an island seed. I built a dock and a boathouse...also I've been breeding villagers and still thinking of good ideas for my island city.

I'm sorry if my wording is wrong or weird, I'm trying to do my best as English isn't my first language.
My paths are made with brown clay, carpets are only here to hide some glowstone.
You should see the interior or the rest of the village. Looks amazing.
Hmm, brown stained clay,,, nice idea. I was trying to do dirt spots in my country roads but the dirt always turns to grass. So glowstone goes through carpet well then?
Interesting. I really need to get my lamp posts up, instead of having torches everywhere. But I have been in such a build mode I still need to do extra nice things like shrubs and lamps along the roads.
I have a lot of roads too. I decided to change the road design and it took me 6 hours to rip all my roads up and redo them. But overall they are 10000 percent better than what they were.
The right guard tower is a little closer to the castle proper than the left, like 6 blocks, but I build with the terrain, so did not want to modify that other peak, it would have looked funny.
But yeah I built the castle in the middle of 3 mountains that surrounded it, and took a natural waterfall from the back mountain to make a moat behind, and the front right tower you see its lit up at the bottom with iron fencing. That is man made aqueduct that is allowing a waterfall to trickle down and flow into the moat in front.
The moat was like indentations in the ground and I just connected the holes with water to flow naturally out into the ocean.
It looks natural.
And the majority of the castle has natural mountain walls. But there is a city castle wall on the exterior I am working on with 2 gates so far that surrounds the city.
I am going to do a moat in front of that wall as well possibly.
But the daylight pictures are me on top of the mountain looking down at the castle, probably at around Y108 or so high.
The night picture I have built a dirt tower up to get a higher perspective since the large oak trees block some of the view.
Finished a spider grinder that took several hours to build, bred some cows for leather --> bookshelves --> enchanting, and started exploring a full-size map. Will put pics if I ever feel like making an imgur account.

I took 2 weeks and renovated / expanded the biggest shopping mall in my city "Alleron"... I can safely say after viewing other builds and researching other builds, that its the biggest complete mall in minecraft! I'm uploading it to PMC sometime next week!
I've gotten some more things done in my secondary world in my "tech mods" profile.
I've done some more mining. However, I haven't found any redstone or lapis lazuli (I need those for machines from technology mods; the lapis lazuli is specifically for some higher-tier stuff from IndustrialCraft 2) and I've only found 2 diamonds so far. I'm going to have to find that stuff before I can really start working with machines.
I explored a cave a little bit. With the game set to easy mode (instead of peaceful mode), exploring caves feels like it has more of a point since the hostile mobs make caves dangerous (at least a little bit dangerous). Exploring caves on peaceful feels a little bit like cheating to me; I'm not really sure why I feel that way, though.
Speaking of hostile mobs, I've made a bunch of arrows and some torch arrows (from Ropes Plus). The regular arrows will make fighting mobs much easier and the torch arrows will help with exploring caves. (For those who don't know, torch arrows place a torch if they hit a spot where a torch can be placed; they also light mobs on fire briefly if they hit a mob instead.)

You reminded me of the first time I tried harvesting one of those huge Jungle trees. It did not end well, to say the least.

I'm kind of proud of what I managed to built tonight, I did the decoration of the Iron Titan.
It took me a few tries before beeing satisfied with the building. The contrast between the birch wood and the dark oak wood looks great.
About getting bored, I don't think it'll happen for me..
