The important thing is not how long you live... It's what you accomplish with your life. While I live, I want to shine. I want to prove that I exist. If I could do something really important... That would definitely carry on into the future. My spirit will always live on. And so if I were to disappear... I think that all I have accomplished will go on. That would mean that it's living. Right?- Grovyle

Thank you! (Looks like I didn't do it the right way... oh well, atleast it's functional.)
Actually if you would like it to directly show up on the page without going to Imgur on the side their should be a list of things including a BBC Code. Paste that into the quote and wala no need for a URL

How on earth did you get all of those mushroom blocks?
Spent about 20 minutes planting mushrooms on mycellium then using bonemeal to grow them and then used a silk touch pickaxe to get the blocks. Took about 4 hours of walking to find my first mushroom biome though.

It's a wonder you have all this time on your hands.
Yeah, I have a lot of free time but I'm pretty lazy most of the time. I actually could have finished the building over a year and a half ago instead of still having a lot of things that still need a finished on it if I didn't get lazy and then take a month long break from it multiple times. I actually found the mushroom biome while I was looking for an ice spike biome and decided to use the mushrooms together with the ice for the pathway, but I think I did that about 10 months ago and then decided to just build the wall along the path.
I've picked a place to build an artificial village. I'm not sure how Malisis Doors interacts with villagers using doors, though, so I'll have to look into that.
There are a couple of LittleMaids (from littleMaidMobX) near the place where I'm going to build my artificial village. I'll probably tame (hire) one at some point in the future.
I've planted gysahl greens (from ChocoCraft). A full harvest of the gysahl greens yields 60 of them, though some of them drop loverly gysahl or golden gysahl (both used to breed chocobos) instead of normal gysahl greens (which are used to tame and heal chocobos).
I've built a chocobo pen as well. I used birch fences (from Gany's Surface) for the main structure and limestone slabs (from Chisel 2) for the roof. I still need to put a straw floor (from ChocoCraft) and a water cauldron to make it a "real" chocobo pen, though (with a straw floor and a water cauldron, chocobos that are standing in the pen will gradually regenerate health).
I've tamed a chocobo (from ChocoCraft) and named her "Buckie".
I tamed her pretty far from my base (a fair distance away from where I'm building my artificial village) and I forgot to bring the chocobo saddle that I made, so I ended up having her follow me back to my house. (You can command chocobos to either follow you or stay still using either a chocobo feather (which chocobos occasionally drop while alive) or a chocopedia (a book that does a few different things related to chocobos and also acts as the mod's manual)).
Buckie now has a saddle and saddle bags. Chocobo saddle bags have 36 inventory slots (basically like a single chest with one more row of slots; however, they don't support the Inventory Tweaks API, so I'll need to organize the contents of her saddle bags manually. (I know about the custom compatibility feature of Inventory Tweaks, but both saddle bags and pack bags use the same container class, so the chest sorting buttons would be placed weirdly.)
I've placed some more chests and drawers (drawers from Storage Drawers) in my basement. (The basement is going to be pretty darned big when I'm done with it.)
I've planted 24 rubber trees (from MineFactory Reloaded), so I'll have plenty of rubber (for various things; for example, raw rubber can be used to make torches) and rubber wood (MFR rubber wood can be smelted into charcoal unlike rubber wood from IndustrialCraft 2 which gives jungle wood logs when smelted.)
That's the story thus far!

The source of my intention isn't really crime prevention; my intention is prevention of the lie! Yeah, welcome to the Scatman's world!
I found the world's smallest stronghold. It had the entrance stairway, one crossover room, three empty iron door chambers and the portal room. No library or chest. I finally gave up and used an X-ray pack and found nothing else.
I am playing version 1.8, could this be an issue with this particular release?
I haven't been playing (or posting) much recently- too much real-world gobbledygook to deal with- but last night I was finishing up my 37th 1,204 x 1,204 map when, lo and behold, off in the distance, on day 3066 of my world, I spied some really tall trees that were not spruce- ta-da!
I didn't take any screen shots while there, and only chopped up enough foliage for two saplings (I didn't want to despoil it too much before I returned), but I did bring back my first cocoa beans:
Note the gleeful chocolate chip cookies in my hotbar! But not the gawdawful ugly little hut in the center...
The tip of the jungle is about 1,500 m in a straight line from the terminal of my nearest subway (conveniently the one I'm running my latest mines out of), so it looks like I'll be digging my way there soon....

Um, I randomly found the smallest stronghold. Yours does not compare. It was just the Portal room.

Well after mining Nether Quartz for about half an hour and discovering a Nether Fortress close to my portal, I can finally start building my Undead Horse Pasture. Picture will go in spoiler after I'm done.
EDIT: I am done after many hours! *checks statistics* Holy cow, 532 quartz!?
I have a survival world that has come a long way in 2 weeks.

Those are Purpur Pillars. New in 1.9 snapshots.
For me, on my 1.9 world, I went mining and got 100 iron.
