“There are no evil weapons, only evil people” - Someone, I guess?
Day 2 of my mob project. Added another ghast, a blaze and a magma cube. Just need an Enderman and one other additional mob maybe. Then a giant portal which they are coming out of.
That’s really cool! Maybe you could build a Zombie or build a giant statue of your own skin (for vanity reasons (=) maybe you could be fighting the other
mobs?

Updated the Broken Laptop SMP server to the recent 1.13.1 release.
Decided to forego development builds of SpigotMC for now and just use the Mojang server. Made backups, of course, and put the Mojang sever in a different folder. Haven't really had much play time yet, but no problems so far.
I also worked on my new shipwreck base. We found a large tree filled island a short boat ride away from spawn, and near that island there is an intact, upright shipwreck near the surface.
My first though was, this would be a cool location for a castaway village (survivors of the shipwreck living on the island). We made plans to build a village on the island, and then move some villagers over to populate it.
RatPrincess was put in in charge of the village design, because she likes building interesting villages in her SSP worlds. So I thought I might do some underground building of things like automated farms and such, but I wanted some place near (but not on) the island to use as my base of operations, and that shipwreck looked tempting.
Initially I just emptied the water out of the lower deck, but then I decided I needed more room, so...
Bridge, with the ship's wheel (square, of course) and some contrasting buttons to represent tie downs or other instruments.
The default cargo deck has an odd split level with a gap in the trapdoors and an abrupt edge you have to jump up.
I used stairs and slabs to raise the rear deck and level it, while also allowing me to walk up and down without jumping.
I turned the treasure room into a treasure map room by moving the chest, and turning whatever that is into a table.
Complete with a filled in Buried Treasure Map!
I added a lot more storage to the cargo hold (which only had 1 chest originally).
There is a lower room with stairs arranged to look like shelves, but you can't actually put anything on them.
So I used spruce trapdoors to make real shelves and display my mob heads (Hermitcraft more mob heads datapack).
I have things I want to add, like hang some banners from the masts to look like tattered remains of old sails (and I may even flood it again once I have a conduit).
While I'm happy with what I've done so far, consider it a work in progress...
Finished an Endermen and Wither Boss. All that is left is the portal behind the Wither Boss and this project is a wrap! Not bad for 3 days work, although those were easily 6 hour sessions each day. I ended up using potions of underwater breathing and Aqua Affinity with an Efficiency V shovel for all the gravel needed. Black Concrete is VERY hard to work with for big builds I found. Even in the day you can barely see!

Hey guys. I have been working hard to make my world look very nice.
So i remade a place that looked like a bay into a lake !Tones terraforming , lots of ice and TA DA a new lake with light inside it, then i made a small quarry on top of the mountain next to my home but im planning to make a mining center or command center
DirtyBaker , your builds are awsome , keep on going !

Wow, that looks really cool! Maybe you could add some custom trees and hills around it. You could also try and terraform the quarry, it could look really good.

Just finished a minecart elevator system from railway station on level 12 to main base on level 63. Has a 8x8 interwoven double helix design, clockwise from the top, with one going down and one coming up. Best is an auto recycle system so that the minecarts are returned to where it came from and are auto dispensed ready for the next rider in either direction, one at the top, and one at the bottom. I used activator rails so rider is automatically dismounted at the station and the cart continues on for the recycle.
I built the outer wall around where my new base will be, and lit up the inside ground. I also placed two Magnum Torches from Extra Utilities (these are made in the QED) in the area, one at the center, and the other on top of the rail station. The wall itself is made out of Fancy Stone Bricks from Tinker's Construct, with the top made out of Dark Oak Wood Planks and streetlamp style torches made using Chisel.
This is what it looks like seen from the rail station:
The inside dimensions were to be 80x80, but I derped the placement of the corners, and it ended up 81x82, and just left it that way. I'm usinf Dark Steel Ladders to get to the top, and Iron Doors with Obsidian Pressure Plates to get in and out of the area. The torches are the same style I used in the previous new base build (which is now long gone).
I had been spending some time exploring and bringing back Aura Nodes to make one Energized Node with Aqua, Ignis and Perditio on it for the Advanced Alchemical Furnace, which I am locating in the same room as the Infernal Furnace and Arcane Spa.
I finally got the Node large enough to decide it was time to move it to the corner of the room. The Arcane Spa is behind me to the right, and the Infernal Furnace is behind me to the left in this room. I used the Transvector Dislocators to move the Node to where it is now.
At one point, it looked like the Infernal Furnace was not working, as it would spit items right back at me; this was occurring with NEI's Magnet Mode turned off, which I use for mining, but now it is working again. And the thing that led me to roll back my save, the Energized Aura Node not charging wands, seems to have been fixed as well. Perhaps it was a glitch or something. I was crafting some of the components needed to make the Advanced Alchemical Furnace using the Arcane Worktable with my 1000 Vis wand and the Vis Charging Relay on it. I noticed that it was again charging the wand on it.
While looking for Aura Nodes, I came across this:
That's a Desert and a Glacier right next to each other - 1.7.10 biome generation for you. Obviously with the new temperature-based biome distribution, this should not happen. Though I am not sure if Biomes O Plenty observes the new biome rules.
The completed Advanced Alchemical Furnace, with 2 Essentia Reservoirs and an Item Dropper above it.
In the corner of the room behind the furnace is an Energized Aura Node, feeding it Ignis, Perditio and Aqua Essentia in centi-vis form. And of course I needed AE2 access here, so I added a Crafting Terminal next to the painting on the left.

Spent some more time exploring the oceans around the new village. The map west of the village map is almost entirely ocean, and almost half of that is lukewarm; lots of shipwrecks, ruins, and ravines around. With no potions - I'd already used up my supply before finding the village, and hadn't yet been back to either Turtle Beach or my main house to pick up some brewing stands and supplies - I decided it was time to play with conduits. Set one up between a cluster of ruins and some caves, and spent a few days exploring, clearing out all the shiny loot, bucket-fishing, and hunting Drowned.
Didn't get any tridents at that stop, but I *did* finally score two(!!) later in my explorations, while destroying a little island in search of buried treasure (which i never did find - the second time that's happened)...
After a brief stop at the village to re-juggle inventory I sailed west again, filling in the rest of the map between the new village (namd TBD) and Turtle Beach before hopping in a minecart and heading home.
As I sailed westward, the waters started getting cooler until I was back in cold ocean territory again; just at the edge of the map I saw what looked like a massive sprawling ice village floating on the sea: an entire fleet of icebergs. I was running with full inventory, so I'll have to go back to start a new map and harvest some blue ice, but I did hop out and explore a bit. Then a bit later, back on land, I spotted a city of crystal-tower ice spikes, just a bit south of Turtle Beach.
More polar bears!
Back home, after enchanting my new toys (impaling III/loyalty III/unbr III/mending - need to find more impaling books before i take it on a monument raid, but it'll do for now) I got to work turning the last of the empty big rooms into an aquarium. I do plan to build a larger, stand-alone aquarium eventually - especially once i find some coral - but it's nice to have a giant fish tank at home, too...
The best view really is from the inside looking out; you need to be right up against the glass to really see the fish from the outside. The ladder off to the right leads up to a hatch in the roof - originally i had a ladder on the other side of the wall, but i didn't really like the way it looked all visible out there in the hallway; the other side of the prismarine wall is the Big Wall Of Maps, and the other two walls are outside, so there really weren't many options...
This may be my new favorite bench design. Need to play with trapdoor-furniture more, I'm seeing lots of possibilities...
Have a bunch of housekeeping-type things to do - repairing tools, cleaning up the mess i made with all the construction, tending the garden and animals, etc - but then it's back out to sea. I have a bunch of buried treasure maps (after sifting for duplicates - i've been finding four or five copies of the same map, all with different numbers of course so they don't stack), and I left behind all sorts of loot on shipwrecks and in ruins; and I need more fish for my tank, and I still haven't found any warm oceans. And I want to see how a conduit and trident change monument raids...
So far, very much liking all the new oceany content in 1.13.
So two weeks have passed, the monument is now completely dry and hollowed out. I think I'm going to make it both my base and a communal experience farm.
Working on ideas for the spawn tank and where to place it now. :]
I like that bench Pykaxe! A lot of cool designs can be done with trap doors and open fence gates. Definitely need to terraform with some Coral but looks great.

Thanks!
Open fence gates, huh... Don't think I've ever used a fence gate decoratively, will definitely have to experiment.
So I recently returned to an old world, started in snapshot pre-1.9.5 before release, and as it explains there I lost the world and back-up. I tried for a long time to find the same mountain in the world but the snapshot wasn't in the launcher and for over a year, longer I eventually gave up. Eventually I got an idea to manipulate a .json file to give me that snapshot and I got the proper generation of that mountain exactly as it was, all I had to do was re-build it from scratch for modernization eventually.
Just had a productive mining session - well for Iron anyway, a bit of gold and lapis and a few diamonds - but not many. Just enough to fix my fortune III diamond pick, and use the spare to do a small fix on my diamond axe. I also had a spare diamond in storage so along with what I found made a diamond sword as well as my iron one was depleting and I have only just got this new iron ore. My resources in this world are primitive compared to my main world.
I returned to the mine and gathered up some obsidian to add to the 4 blocks I had, I mined more than needed in-case I saw a blaze in the nether so I can make an ender chest. (I have an ender pearl with me also.). Soon I went across the sky bridge to the great eye in the sky aka "Eye Mountain" which contains my portal and traveled a little way until I could go no further, hitting a nether cliff edge. Here I made a portal to the NU world! aka a new 1.13 chunk...
Great spawn, right above the ocean! I thought I could see something on the coast of one of the plates of land, but if was hard to tell from the distance whether it was a ship wreck or just dirt land going into the water. Sure enough it was a ship wreck (In good stead as well!), treasure maps, emeralds, iron ingots and a couple of gold ones, quite a few iron nuggets and coal. The pictures would do it justice more. I noticed there are to ruins by the ship wreck as well, I spent the night un-water-logging the cabin on the wreck that has the door and using one of the other chest to make a double with the one in the cabin and store my goods.
The next day I spent a while raiding these two ruins then dry-proofing one of them, in which I did drown, thankfully I can go quick enough back across the sky bridge, through the portal and run to the 1.13 portal and swim to get my stuff. I dried one out anyway and have made the cabin on the ship wreck cosy. Now I just need to find sheep to set my spawn point whilst I'm here.

I am really wanting to show my builds as I have 100's of hours into my world. My auto chicken farm, sugar cane, wheat, pumpkin, and melon farms all of which replant themselves (some with the help of a villager). My hidden rooms, storage systems, alarm system and nether hub. Not all of these builds did I do completely on my own but with research from on line. However I made a lot of modifications to the original ideas I found. I am not sure how to include images on here, guess it is something else to research. My current build is two high rises 8 floors high that have a sky bridge between them, then 3 floors up from there the buildings are combined to one and continue upward. My understanding of redstone I feel is better than most but I am always looking for more information, more ways to use it. My mines at level 10 is vast. Upon showing a few friends they simply think I am nuts, haha. I have a mine cart system that goes around my dig site in which half way around you get the achievement for riding a mine cart. My goal is to make how to video's and help others make interesting things as well. So that is where I am and what I am building, I recently had to kill over 100 villagers in a town I made. They make too much noise. Have a great day
I made the Quantum Boots of the Traveller from Electro-Magic Tools. These have the jump ability and armor of the Quantum Boots, plus uphill step assist, 5% Vis discount and I move much faster with them on than with the Boots of the Horizontal Shield. Almost too fast - it takes about 6 seconds to go from the northern end of my wall to the southern end. And this is on the top of the wall, 143 blocks. They have the same EU as the Quantum Boots, 10 million, which means I can only charge them in an MFSU or the MFSU Charge Pad.
It's almost as if the boots have the permanent sprinting ability that the Quantum Leggings have, but without the increased food usage.
The Vis discount is a 2% increase over the other boots, which only gave 3%. This reduces the Vis cost of my Ichorium Adorned Primal Staff to 32%, using the Shock Focus.
Another thing I did was move the cactus farm underground. It had been there before I restored the older backup, off the south wall of my 2nd Big Reactor room. Instead I located it on the west wall of the room. The new room is 12x18x5, with a 2 block walkway around the edges. This allows 42 cactus plants to grow at a time.

I learnt how to link up portals (properly) which I had given up on a couple of months ago. Can’t believe how simple it was, sometimes I am a massive idiot!
Don’t have an active survival world right now, but this will definitely come in handy.

“There are no evil weapons, only evil people” - Someone, I guess?
Picked up another old world, but keeping it in 1.12 for now until I build resources up.
About this world:
I built this home during the Beta years in a sandpit among the grass, using it’s outline (After a bit of edging out, then scaffolding up and using photoshop to do an overlay of a screenshot) to define the shape of the house for all it’s goods and -in hindsight, mostly bads. Mods ruined it but it was my own fault not the mod, I forgot to change the spawn limit of ogres, the house got wrecked.
I could've gone to a back-up, but it was easier to just rebuild it in a brand newstyle in the spring/summer of 2013. This lasted until 2016 when I lost the save & back up somehow only having a creative copy. I did start to rebuild again in a more modern style but only got so far - I wasn’t feeling it.
Last seen: Living in a creative copy turned survival, but I must’ve hopped from one version back to another though as I lost all my chest contents. Current status: undecided.
Again, no resources, no mob grinders that I can remember, stone tools except 1 diamond sword and a mediocre enchanted bow left over, no enchantment tables, there is a portal but this is about all.
I spend the first night sheep hunting, one of the last things I remember doing is making fence pens in the nearby park area (Originally cleared by hand). Once in the pens I can now begin breeding sheep. I spent the second night just going around chopping trees in the immediate area (oak and birch, still have spruce to do), just so I have some basic wood resources. I have selected a small area in the basement storage where to set up an enchantment table. That would mean farming cows, and boy did I have to travel to find some, lead them across a lake, dodge creepers & witches & spiders. Eventually I got three home for the pens. Eventually I might move them all to the old abandoned dock area. (A long board walkfrom the park leads to a coastal area)
The park back in 2011 and it's boardwalk away:
(texture pack at the time:painterly)
Coastal area in 2014:
(Were to be fishing shops here)
(Was to be hotel here)
Slowly I'm going round putting white banners up in the windows as blinds and am making subtle improvements as I breed cows to get an enchantment area together. The kitchen needs a proper floor, the storage needs sorting out and the bedroom needs something - anything upstairs; there's just a bed so I could set spawn. Again compared to my main world this one is in the primitive stages as I build resources back.
As this world is very old (Since 2011), it has history, by rebuilding it a third time in a very modern style I lost that feeling. Even this second version, I have a connection with it with what I went through to re-build it, the setting and how I built the original.

Day 1 progress of my basketball arena project. This is 6 hours of work including resource gathering. I'll be adding the VIP boxes, Jumbotron, concession stands, restrooms and banners in the rafters. TONS of work to do still but not a bad start!

Learn something new each day
I built the outer wall around where my new base will be, and lit up the inside ground.

Hello,
I am really wanting to show my builds as I have 100's of hours into my world.

Picked up another old world, but keeping it in 1.12 for now until I build resources up.
About this world:

I started a project on a gold farm after ilmango's farm.
It is a succes , lots of gold and exp non-stop
It has a small storage wich i need to improve btw and a connected furnace array for the tone of swords that are coming from the pigman
Had some fun playing Ultra-Hardcore, died so many times and kept on having to reset the world.:/ I got there in the end though.

Day 1 progress of my basketball arena project. This is 6 hours of work including resource gathering. I'll be adding the VIP boxes, Jumbotron, concession stands, restrooms and banners in the rafters. TONS of work to do still but not a bad start!
