This is from a little while ago now, I just haven't had the chance to post it.
Made it my main mission to finish my underground Nether Hub.
Here is what the entrance looks like. I made it out of stone bricks mainly, but wanted to also add some mossy cobble into the floor. You go down a couple of flights of stairs, before you arrive at the actual Nether Hub.
Here is the whole Hub. I don't really like where the portal is placed, but since I hate mining obsidian, I have decided to just leave it where it is. It just seems like too much work to move it. (Lazy girl problems).
I decorated using cobwebs to make it seem spooky. I also added some decorations from Decocraft that are under the Holiday section. Spider plushies and and a fake creepy skeleton leaning against the wall just felt like the perfect finishing touch. I set a little area with a crafting bench, furnances and some chests. The chests are going to be used to store anything I collect from the Nether. They have already got a fair amount of netherrack and glowstone in them.
Here is the door that leads down to a Cave and Ravine. Decided instead of just completely blocking this off and pretending like it's not there, I should use it to go mining when I need to. It's just a little extra add on to my strip mines that I also have closer to my house. Again, I felt as though the creepy skeleton by the door was necessary... Don't know why.
That's all I have for now, I have done tons more to this world. But I still need to take some screenshots!
I only play in survival so everything takes unfortunately I am no where near finished because I have to mine everything in the overworld then bring back to the End. I started by covering the entire top layer of endstone with dirt blocks and silk touched grass blocks about every hundredth dirt block so the grass would spread. Collecting and placing the dirt and grass took weeks and the grass spreading takes longer. The entire end is only covered one block deep with grass so when Endermen steal a grass or dirt block I have to replace it. To stop the enderman from stealing the grass I put oak stairs around all the level edges. Then I grew oak trees which I will be replacing with custom trees eventuallyNext I made the enderdragon in the middle, which originally my enderpearl farm and had a platform above it.I moved the pearl/exp farm away from the island but kept the dragon. I had 1 end island portal and I wanted all of them so I fought the enderdragon 9 times, dying a couple of times in the process. Then my computer crash and my world file was corrupted, so I loaded a backup and fought the enderdragon 21 more times (had to do it 2 times for the second portal to appear for some reason). Then repaired all the damage from the Enderdragon (a LOT of repairing}. I started playing MInecraft in version 1.8 so my end island has the "extra" (original) obsidian pillars. I mined some of the extra pillars and turned others into towers. Then I started on the sides and underneath the island with dirt, grass, course dirt, stone, cobblestone, mossy cobblestone, gravel, andesite, and vines. I shaped the obsidian pillars like obelisks and placed end crystals on the bedrock above them. Pro tip - don't do that!!! The Enderdragon magically re spawned away from the end and flew towards 2 times after I placed them. So after killing the dragons and repairing more damage I put lit netherrack on 2 of the obelisks and en crystals on the rest. I will be putting a waterfall in.
Having really horrible luck inside an abandoned mineshaft. There is one more cave spider nest that i need to break and a zombie dungeon to start turning out for my benefit. They are also right next to each other, these spawners.
Cave spider one is in the worst spot. There's a water leak next to it. The water slows the spiders down... but it slows me down. I ran out of arrows, i can't get close enough to the spawner to break it because of the stupid water. Can't get close enough to the water to plug it up because of the spawner. Had to put it in peaceful mode, but auto save keeps hanging up (ps3), and right after i break it and leave the mineshaft. I suspect it might be because my inventory is full due to being in an abandoned mineshaft with two dungeons.turned off auto save til i could get home and put my stuff away. Did all that just in time for the disk to load fail.
So i built a japanese style house in a creative world
Since 1.10 the stairs seemingly have completely stopped the Enderman from picking up the grass or dirt. In 1.9 and below they would rarely pick up a block next to a stair so I'm not sure if there was code change in behavior or if I have just been lucky.
That's a gigantic amount of work, Torions. I thought the island what somewhat smaller, but to cover it all in overworld dirt would indeed take ages. The biggest work I've done was eradicating a whole hill in order to put my castle there, and after that I was pretty burned out already.
My End in comparison is really bland. I have three buildings: one enclosing the portal to the overworld, a Anti-Enderman shelter, and an eclosure for the outer islands portal.
If I had to give you a suggestion, I'd say you should build something there, out of wood or cobblestone (dunno if Endermen would be a problem). I've always wanted to build an End railway to the outer isles.

As far as buildings in the end, I was thinking of building something similar to my End Portal building (pictured).
Recently completed a couple of projects that were at the top of my to-do list. Both of these things are extremely basic and so boring to make, but they needed to be done.
The first thing would be a proper storage area. The storage wall in my house is starting to become rather full. Most of the chests like the wood, cobblestone and misc chests are pretty much full. Soo, I present to you my basic but much needed storage room. Built into the side of the massive mountain that I have my house built into. I really like how I have made the entrance look. Was going to add doors, but ended up not really feeling it was necessary... Not unless mobs decide to start randomly wandering around in there, the maybe I will add doors.
The chests that are already in there are not all the chests I plan on having in there. But I feel that right now, it will be plenty. I also made a little furnance area with some bricks on the far wall. Looks like a fireplace kinda.
And here is my little wheat and potato farm that I use for myself. I think I said that I was going to build this underground previously, but decided it would be a lot less effort if I just built it above ground next to my animal farm. I don't have any carrots in there, don't really feel like I eat carrots much when I play Minecraft, so I just have wheat and potatoes. Off to the left there are some furnances, a crafting bench and a chest. Similar to what I have over in my animal farm.
Really boring stuff honestly. Currently working on building a horse stables and some other things that I will eventually post here when I'm done.
I recently got back from vacation and started playing my modded survival world. I First started getting into RFTools because of how you can make dimensions which i plan on using for Mining later on with a Ender Quarry. First of, i made a Minicio Ore Dimension because of magical crops. It will be removed once i make all of the crops in Magical Crops. Then i plan on getting my friend online to help me make my sky castle as my base. I Plan on making 4 High Tier Draconic cores and 4 Max sized reactors because of the power im wanting to generate for my machines. This is what im working on at the moment.
As far as buildings in the end, I was thinking of building something similar to my End Portal building (pictured).
Very elegant design. I appreciate those who can craft harmonious buildings in a landscape. I wish I could do the same, but I always end up creating cubes or underground shelters, with a very heavy/imposing look. They aren't fancy, but they are monster-proof at least.

Since I am still really new at MineCraft, I am pretty excited even to see the "boring" necessary things people are making! I also wind up falling short of grand visions, and building cube-like dwellings thus far.
My big discovery, this weekend, is learning how to install a mod. I was finding the maps in the game miserably useless, so I just set up JourneyMap and created a new world. It is my first world with ice peaks! I may not always play with mods, but it sure is helping keep me from getting utterly lost as I so often have before on my MC worlds.
I only spotted one polar bear, we left one another alone.
This is nothing that special, I just wanted to say that I added a mod to my game today called Chococraft because I have always wanted to try it. It's a mod that adds these cool looking birds called Chocobos to your game. I'm kinda in love with them, and just felt the need to post about it on here.
Here is a fun picture of me riding one of my Chocobos. I have two currently. The ones that you can find in the wild are yellow. There's one with rainbow hairs like the one in this picture. And one without rainbow hairs. I think one is supposed to be male and one is supposed to be female. I haven't quite figured out which is which yet.
I found out how to tame them though, and once you tame them, you can craft a Chocobo saddle and ride them! Honeslty, so much more exciting than a regular minecraft horse.
It turns out that I do have a male and female, because I read up about how to breed chocobos and it worked! I have now got an adorable baby green chocobo running around my house. According to what I have read, if you breed two yellows, you will end up with either a blue or a green chocobo. If you breed a blue and a green, I think you end up with another colour. I'm going to try and get every chocobo there is in this mod :D.
Don't know if anyone found this interesting, but this is my new favourite mod and I will no doubt be back with more about them later xD.
So I found a village and in the center, underground I madea villager breeder that travels them up a glass tube into a trading area that is going to look like a UFO, Im almost finished with the villager storage then Ill have some SS when the shape is made

Aww! Lucky duck, it always takes me forever to get a colored one from my yellow pairs!
Recently mined a lot of quartz on my server (about 4.5 shulker boxes worth of it), in order to build myself a huge mansion near my farmlands which will become my main base. It will be built right beside my Iron Farm.
Here's about half of the quartz, before using my Fortune III pickaxe on it.
Then here's what it looks like for now (Already used 3 and a half shulker boxes of quartz, and not nearly done). The exterior walls for the 1st floor are almost finished:
And just because we could not really see what my farmlands look like at the moment. I'm standing on top of my Mob farm in this screenshot, and the mansion and Iron Farm would be at the top left, a little further than render distance. I have pens for all kinds of animals, including one for each color of sheep.

I'm building a farmhouse near a village, it looks ugly :/
I need more details about this. I've always wanted to see an actual, finished, redesigned End that looked like a happy place!

It took me several tries, but got there eventually Now working on breeding blue and green to get white... It's taking a lot longer XD
