If anyone wants to join the FCB server, please PM Ghosteth with your in game name so he could whitelist you. Also, kuala, I think you might want to make a sugarcane farm somewhere in the greenhouse, and since sugarcane doesn't need much light to live, you could make a sugarcane farm basement to your greenhouse.
Also, if you are on the server, I just decided that each race gets two colors. The nametag color and the wool color. So here is what I have so far
If you can, please help me fill in the missing info.
EDIT: Hey, people, guess what I learned! I can record 10 minute videos at one fps with no volume using my computer! How cool is that? Well, it really is good for my com, since my computer really really sucks, but it's still 1 fps :/. So I guess I will stick with screenshots for now.
Kuala, I like to think of the main post as just a basic guideline to the challenge, not something that you have to follow to the letter. So I do add some "unnecessary" stuff to the challenges, just to make more resources available and also to have more structures. If you ever come up with an idea, "it would be cool if I had" or, "I really need something (sugarcane, for example), but I have no way of getting it" Then you just make a way to get that thing or you build that thing. If you want you can make a quarry, even though that's not in any of the challenges, and add a crane at the top and stuff like that, if you think it would look cool.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I won't be here for the next few days. Not even sure when I'm coming back.
well I do add things to my town that aren't in the specifications, I have a quarry and a mine entrance with a lift for going in and getting out, I just don't really see a need for sugarcane. if that should change however trust me, there will be a sugarcane farm faster than you can say antidisenstablishmentarianism (fyi that is a real word, longest in the English dictionary, took me 3 days to learn to say it right! :P)
Hi guys.. Im new to the forum challenge thing but im almost done with the egyptian challenge. Every other challenge seems interesting but i was really hoping to do the pirate challenge or the nomad one. When will they be completed. Also you should make xbox challenges also because sometimes it is hard to complete some of the challenges without modifying them in someway shape or form.
HEY YO GUYS! I'm back from a really-really-really-really long hiatus because of various reasons - School, fun tekkit and other modpack playing and bubbabubba. How are all of you doing?
I see a bunch of new guys joined in the server - Someone entered our gnome village, welcome (btw I'm the Head Gnome)! I look forward to play more on the server from now on, if possible. Wish I could speak with Jesse, but he doesn't use Skype anymoar D:

iirc Someone (I guess lung, was it?) was doing the nomad challenge - writing and such I might be wrong though.
Baily8, well, don't think the nomads will ever be completed, sorry. It's just that it's hard to make a challenge when the builders of the kingdom are, well, nomadic, so they don't make any permanent settlements.
Ok im fine with that. I decided to do the orc challenge for a while. Im still stuck on the city center with the fountain... What about the pirate challenge though? That should be a pretty easy challenge to create. Its mostly living on a ship r building a pirate cove with docks and a small dirty city with a large building for the treasury and the pirate leader. If you need any help let me know. I like to do this kind of stuff

Actually sniper, I did a bit o' work on the nomads when bored one afternoon.... I'll see if I can find my work in my folders...
Almost instant edit. Not done, but...
Nomads-
Stage 1: Onto the land.
Rules:
- May use wooden tools and use any stone you get, but not for tools and weapons.
-May not farm
Building Requirements:
Travel the lands until you gather these resources:
- Four or more saddles
- Half a stack of wool (32)
- a full set or wooden tools
- full leather armour
- a stack of logs
- A bow and half a stack of arrows.
- Ten leads.
-Three pet wolves.
You may keep these resources to use in later stages, they do not enter the storage.
Stage 2: Wolf of the Plains.
Rules:
- May use wooden tools and use any stone you get, but not for tools and weapons.
-May eat any farmed products such as carrots, bread, and melon. You may however, use them to breed livestock.
Building Requirements:
The Tent-city: Find a nice non-forested area to set up camp (Deserts, tundra and plains work.)
- Build 4 Yurts, small round single room tents with a fireplace in the middle, a kitchen and a three beds.
- Build a sheep pasture with grazing land, fill with sheep of various colours.
-Build a cow or pig pasture; or a chicken coop to supply meat to eat.
- Construct a horse/donkey pasture to store mounts found in the future.
- Build a waste trench of to the sides of your yurts for bowel emptying.
- Build simple log barricades with trenches marking your grazing lands.
- Tame at least one horse.
- half a stack of any meat (raw).
Stage 3: Settling down.
Rules:
- May use wooden tools and use any stone you get, but not for tools and weapons
-May not eat anything you farm.
Building Requirements:
The Tent-City:
- 4 more Yurts. (total: 8)
- Construct another pasture (It can be for cows, pigs, or sheep)
- Build a tribe fireplace with a spit for roasting meat.
- construct a Khan's hut for yourself, the same features as the normal one, but on a wooden platform and it will have three rooms, a throne and a chest containing full leather armour and a stone sword (this is a single exeption to the rules, you may not use this sword.)
- finish the barricades and trench all the way around your grazing lands.
- Build a wooden and wool watchtower to view your territory from.
- half a stack of any meats.
- One stack of logs.
Stage 4: Lord of the Bow.
Rules:
- May use stone, but no iron for anything but shears. (No Buckets! You are no farmer!)
-May not eat anything you farm.
Building Requirements:
- Construct eight more yurts. (total: 16)
- Construct a training yard for use of the bow, as well as an area to practice horse riding.
- Improve the waste trench to a better standard.
- Build roads out in three separate directions from the tent city, make them rrrreeeeeaaaaallllllyyyyyy far.
- At sections far along these roads build at least six Yam (way-stations) for bedding on long distances, new mounts and checkpoints; Build these literally over the road, as speed is the necessity in the future of your so-to-be great empire. Each Yam must have at least two Yurts, a paddock for horses, and one for pigs/cows/a coop of chickens.
- Build five bows, each with half a stack of arrows.
- Tame three more wolves.
@Lemon, You might want to review that... Build a small shack with a roof but no walls? That makes no sense
Also, anyone who's currently writing challenges, try to stick with a single format throughout the challenges you write. It doesn't matter as much (yet) that different people have different formats, but it's really annoying when in the same stage of the same challenge it sometimes says under gathering requirements,
Gather 2 stacks of wood
Gather three stacks of cobblestone
Or when something like this happens;
Build a house (2 rooms, a door and a bed)
Build a mining shack with 2 rooms, a door, and a bed.
Just make sure you have everything persistent withing your challengewriting, and later we might have a format we will expect everyone to follow. You might want to write your format out either here or somewhere where you could keep track of it. If you post it here, other people could use the format you use, and that will make it a little less work for the people who will have to convert all the challenges to a single format because some of us like it when things are persistent.
Well, hi guys. Long time no see. It's Jeddediah, if you didn't figure that out. I kind of forgot everything about my account, so I just made a new one. Football workouts are almost over, and I'll have a few weeks to myself. So, I have returned. I've lost the ip to the server, so if someone could pm me for that, that'd be great. Nvm, I remembered that the mumble ip and the server ip are the same.
Caio, sorry about Skype, but it lags my computer to hell. I really don't like it. We'll just have to communicate in the mumble server.
So, uh, yeah. I have returned, friends. Hopefully I'll be getting on the server more and taking my position as Head Gnome back. Let's get Gnom Fabelwesen bigger, better, and more badass! I want a full upgrade on the huts and the lab! Let's get a better observatory! And get to work decorating the secret lab! And doing redstone things! And stuff like that! Let's do this!!!!
hey guys here is ep 12 of my let's play series, this was uploaded yesterday but I couldn't post it here die to being on leadership camp (the upload was qued). so anyway here it is! sorry for rambling
I believe they're talking about doing multiple challenges in the same world. It's not necessary (you can change worlds if you want to) but it is quite nice to have a world that seems populated.
The world I've been doing my challenges in currently has three different cities, in varying stages of completion (one's done, one's abondoned for the time being, and the other's in progress)
So yeah, up to you if you want multiple worlds

And by the way; Who is John Galt?
I don't know when I'll be able to make another video. I had to reformat my C:\ Drive. I didn't lose my saves or my game files because they were installed under the D:\ Drive. But now when I try to launch my game it gives me this error report.

I won't call it little, but yeah. If you log on I could teleport you there, if you want.
Also, if you are on the server, I just decided that each race gets two colors. The nametag color and the wool color. So here is what I have so far
Angels: Nametag- Gold, Wool- White
Elves: Nametag- Green, Wool- Lime
Gnomes: Nametag- Don't remember, Wool- Undecided
Swamp Goblins: Nametag: dark green, Wool- Undecided.
If you can, please help me fill in the missing info.
